Thanks for the compliments guys! Here is a little update on the Reach UNSC armor.

Here are pics of the armor on my mannequin.

doing good so far keep it up! by the way do you have any tips for painting on the foam? also can i get some sort of print for the thigh piece attachment or something? i plan to do a Reach ODST armor and it requires it was well.

XDarkice...I do have the templates but they are not in electronic format but I'll see what I can do. Maybe I'll go to Office Depot so they can scan the original templates and send you the file.

Here are a couple of pics of me in my MARPAT BDU with the armor on. Sorry if the pics are not that good but I just wanted to see how everything looks so far. I am planning on finishing at least one of the drop leg thigh attachments this week.

Where did you get that vest and shoulder attachments from? I was thinking of making my own shoulder soft armor attachments and mounting my ODST shoulder armor on top but those pads you have look almost like what I was going to make anyways.

Your build looks great. I do think it looks better with the ACU pattern, a little closer to the game colors.

Not a problem, I'll let you know when it's done. Oh BTW, I coated the foam with a sealer in this case I used Mod Podge before painting. Otherwise, your paint will just soak into the foam especially if you sanded the surface. I prefer using Krylon Fusion paints.

I ordered them from Strapworks.com very friendly and helpful people even through emails. Very good selection of strap materials from D-rings to nylon webbing straps. Thanks! I agree with you, I will try it on with ACU tonight and post another pic to compare. I find the MARPAT BDU a little too dark.

To answer the question about the vest. I used an airsoft padded vest for about $16 on ebay and I sewed my own upperarm/shoulder pads and extended the sides of the vest using a black ripstop fabric with batting material for padding. Buying a genuine plate holder tactical vest would cost about $70 bucks at the very least. I thought I'd make my own vest and use the $70 bucks for something else.

No way! Those shoulder pads look manufactured. You did a really good job on them. They look just like the DAPS for real body armor, they even have the velcro.

do you know the name to the airsoft chest gear? cuz when conducting reasearch for my ODst build i found out it is actaully like your unsc trooper armor, except with an added chest plate, shoulders, helmet, and shin gaurds LOL. so ill use your thread to help me reference xD
