Just a word to the wise, don't get the "Real Energy Sword" thing that you see online unless you're planning on making it better. I bought one (I was too lazy to make one, so sue me :p) and it's pretty much just a flat piece of steel that has this wierd "Spectrum Color!" yellow-purple tint. On the plus side, the handle's pretty schweet, and looks like one would expect it to. Also, the blade comes pre-sharpened; I assassinated my bag of rice (accidentally, I swear!!!) straight out of the box. In addition, it comes with this spiffy little chunk of wood that you can nail to your wall and "proudly" display your sword. Personally, I enjoy it, mostly because I can actually say I have one haha. But, with some improvements, like different paint and perhaps more detailing, it could come out to be seriously kick ass. With that said, here's some pictures:

and finally, a picture just to show how flat the thing is:

In completely unrelated news, how many posts does it take to get you out of the noob forum and into the actual forums?? I'm personally a bit irked. Oh well - "Don't fight the system!"

I too bought one of these and was feeling a bit dissapointed. The sword is undersized significantly. The one I purchased came pre-warped... the tips of the blades aren't parallel. It's a neat little thing, but really begs for better attention to detail and craftsmanship.

BTW, the number of posts necessary to get out of the noob forum is kept confidential. Just keep making useful posts like this and you'll be out before you know it.

i was thinking about buying one off of swordsswords.com but its like $80 for it, so i bought renji's sword instead :D

But does that mean those who know can say? I mean, it's all over the noob forum...

Not to my knowledge. A long time ago it was public knowledge, but we found that it encouraged useless posting. It was made confidential and randomly changes now to avoid this problem. The change was noted in the Guidelines I wrote Sept, 30 2007.

Back to topic?

I thought I should add to Zaknals description of the sword that the handle is cast plastic. Not bad detailing, but far from game-accurate. He's entirely right though that with a little post-manufacture modification that it could be far better.

Mind if I ask what you paid for your's Zaknal? I bought mine at a convention and I'm curious if I paid more or less than the price it's going for online.

Sean, your sword handle is a lot better looking and detailed. ;)

This steel sword looks alright, I just don't like the rainbow blades..

Got mine off eBay for AUD$35.99 or USD$18.99, so I'm pretty happy about it. Even though it's not perfect.
If you want one for that cheap, the guy who sold it listed another one.
