would resin alone be prettystrong, im ont gonna be like throwing it around, i was just hink of like 1 to two...maybe three coats of resin, w/o fiberglass? i dont think it would be strong enough to like sit in and lay in but...idk

no it would not be strong at all easilly bent and cracked and bondo would barely hold togethor when sanded, it would crack just like the fiberglass

with 1 coat of resin, its not even re-inforced. With 2 coats, still no, with 3, still no, but getting closer. In order to do a costume without fiberglass and still make sure its strong, you would need 10-20 coats of resin just to make it so you can put the piece on without it breaking.

There's a reason why everybody uses fiberglass - it works. Don't spend a ton of time on pep if you're gonna skip such an important step.

Resin alone even in multiple coats is not strong enough. The fiberglass matte/cloth is meant to create a woven structure that when combined with the resin makes for a strong surface that is held rigid by the hardened weave. WIthout that, you simply have a shell coating that when flexed will crack and break.(this is more so when the piece is THICK resin only, not so much the case with thinner coats.)
