Serj Tankian has signed a petition for PETA to stop slaughtering chickens.

Serj Tankian has signed his name on the PETA2 Petition for stopping KFC's slaughterhouses to drug and kill the chickens while they can still feel the pain. I'm not becoming a vegitarian or anything, but I just don't like that idea.
so, pretend to be in KFC's slaughter house being drugged and growing so big that you can't stand up and getting you throat cut off while you're still alive. I'm not against eating chickens, but the slaughtering is just wrong. So go to PETA's Website to sign as well.

Sorry, but I don't see any reason to spend money so the chickens die without pain. I would rather have cheap buckets of chicken then knowing those chickens die 'humanly'. Long ago we had no resources to keep the animals from feeling pain, we just killed them, why should it be so differently now? Survival of the fittest my friend, chicken is the cheapest and most popular meat in the world.

Originally I was going to post a meanish jokeish comment on the topic of this-but decided not to lol.

And I guess you have to have sympathy or a heart to care how they're getting killed.

Its animal cruelty. Animals have feelings (whether you believe it or not). If we're going to eat them, we should at least have the decency to make it painless. Kinda like this; would you rather have a quick and painless death, or a painful one.

This thread is gonna go downhill really quickly. I vote for a lock. And I also vote for fried chicken for dinner tonight.

I used to work for a Chicken Rescue/Rehabilitation clinic. since instead of Squirrels we have feral Chickens where I live. I love chickens.... I keep them as pets too. I do have a heart. But when it comes down to it, they are tasty.

I dont care how they are killed if they are gonna get killed no matter what. Do you recomend giving them a full body massage, and a dirt bath before they stick them in a sauna where they steam them to death? What they are doing right now to the ckickens shouldnt matter.... a chicken tastes like chicken no matter how it's "slaughtered"..... and Ive stepped over the line so i'll just wait for a lock now.

Serj Tankian is one of my favorite artists (Not just with SOAD, with SerArt too), and it seems that more celebrities are into PETA, case in point- Pamela Anderson, though she has been with PETA for a few years.

Well, i love meat, i love KFC, so i'm not gonna stop just because he thinks differently. True, our corporations' views on animals vs money is different, but hey- i love my little chickens.

A birds nervous system isn't built like a mammals. Have you ever been dove hunting and knocked one out of the sky without killing it outright? The thing just sits there like nothing's wrong bleeding to death until you do the kind thing and put it out of it's misery. Most birds (excluding a few with exceptionally developed CNS like parrots or raptors) do not feel pain in the same way we or other mammals do.

On top of that they are saying to try to drug an animal you are killing. That means the drugs won't work out of the animals system. You will be ingesting the same painkillers or their thermal breakdown equivalents when you eat the chicken. Yeah, that's all we need on top of the steroids, antibiotics, and other junk that's there already.

Killing animals for expensive and unnecessary clothing is bad.

Killing animals for food whether they feel pain or not is not cruelty to animals. It's survival.

PETA needs to stick to protesting furs and animal testing.
