Don't mean to necropost, but would this be something I could help out on?
I've been sewing on a machine since elementary school. My mom and stepmom taught me the basics, and helped me out on some of my first cosplays in high school, but the rest has been self-taught as I've been experimenting with different materials and hems. I then learned how to hand embroider while deployed in the Navy (no joke; my friends and I were bored so we joined up with one girl who taught us when we weren't on watch). Recently, I've been learning pattern making to make better, more accurate cosplay projects.
