Sub groups

The 405th is divided into Regiments, Southern being the Regiment housing Florida. JTF4 is the Southern RCO and can tell you more about the goings on within the Regiment itself. I know Megacon had a huge presence this year, which is great to see

I recommend reading through the New Member and Membership FAQs as well as the Mantle to gain a better understating of the organizational Structure:

But, the overview is:
Division Level. Everyone is a member of the 405th Infantry Division by virtue of registering an account, as explained in the New Member FAQ.
Regiment. Regiments are the primary Sub-Unit and cover large areas, multiple states in the US, entire countries, or even regions. Once you have been a member for over 90 days and have made 50 constructive, on topic, substantial, posts in threads on the Forums, you may request to join your local Regiment, as explained in the Membership FAQ. Regiment membership is purely voluntary and you do not have to join if you do not want to.
Battalion. Sub-units with in a Regiment, typically covering States or smaller geographic areas. Battalions are formed when having a more focused and centralized sub set of Staff can assist with an increase in Event Requests or Membership in order to take strain off of the Regiment's Command Staff. A Battalion consists of a minimum of five (5) Deployed Members.

Hey SPARTAN A128!

If you have any questions related to the southern regiment, I'd be more than happy to answer them for you.
Awesome! I was wondering, what is the best way to stay active and respond to threads without just responding to threads for the sake of getting 50 supporting responses to be able to join the Southern Regiment? I personally am trying to balance these out.

Also I was wondering for Megacon next year, does the 405th always have a booth? And is there specific times that the Halo fans meet up?

Don't feel that you have to rush getting your 50 posts. Remember that it is 50 posts and 90 days, so the expectation is that you are making less than one post a day in your journey to be eligible to join your local Regiment. Having a build thread for your own project(s) is a great way to stay active. Another way is looking for current and still active threads that have a build technique or armor style that you are interested in and asking pertinent thoughtful questions about the other users build. Again, please do not respond to threads just for the sake of getting another post. Only post when you have a real question, reply, or comment. It is really less about the number of posts, even though you have to make a certain number, and more about the content of those posts. The post guideline is there to help demonstrate that you are a constructive, contributing member of the community who has taken the time to gotten to know and engage with the greater community. Your local RMO will look at the content and quality of your 50 posts before approving you to join your Regiment.
