Just a quick guess, the visor area is just too small to see anything, in my oppinion there's not much sense to install a visor after all. Just paint the visor area and use some sort of head mounted display/video glasses. But you have to find a barly visible place where you can hide the camera on the front of the helmet.

While that would be a good solution, I think that's probably the "hard" route.
Personally, what I would do, would be to cut out the recessed area behind the center visor/eye (the black area behind the red area on the face of the helmet, in the picture below), and just put a smoke-tinted lense there. You won't get the best visibility, but I think it'd be a cheaper/quicker solution than trying to rig up a HUD.
It's been a few days since the last update, it gets annoying to download photos from the facebook group, upload to flickr, then upload here. Anyways, started preliminary sketches for a scratch Rogue shoulder.
Then worked on the wetwork helmet. After 5 hours of hand painting, masking, then spray painting, the canned air from Spaceballs starts to sounds pretty good.
