What does everyone use for interior of helmet? Plasti dip? Pain? Fabric?

Okay so I have watched a few videos just for basic plasti dip application, pouring and mixing.
This gentleman is actually pretty good to watch he just lays it all out for people to see. Granted this used on vehicles and larger application but still good videos for people to visualize.

So my question is as the title states. What is everyone doing for the interior helmet design and I'm talking about the lining of the helmet. I have military padding I intend to use. However I have been looking at some options of lining the helmet.

-- I thought about fabric but it will just get sweaty and stanky which ofc attracts everyone, so that went out the window.

--Then I thought about purchasing motorcycle helmet padding which come in big sections which is kind of hit or miss because Helmets vary in side and is not as adjustable as individual pads, so I threw this idea out.

--I have actually thought about getting Kevlar lining and watched a few videos on how to apply and make it look all pretty so this option is viable but OFC weight and skill needed to make it look like crap is another issue. So it is viable but its 30-20$ for Kevlar and you also need another 20$ pair of scissors so nah..

--Then there is painting the inside which works I have seen most helmets painted work out fairly well just the occasionally chipping. Also there is some difficulty trying to apply the pain on the interior ofc.

-- My number one idea I liked the most was plasti dipping the inside of the helmet with a plasti dip spray can. I have not seen a lot of this done so I cannot exactly say what the benefit are other than you can peel it out or apply paint to it. A concern of my would be if I apply objects inside the helmet if I would tear / peal the plasti dip. So.... Yeah... I like this one but seems to be some unknowns..

So anyways just tell me what ya think or if anyone has some good ideas. This is kind of for everyone because I know a lot of people talk about the interior of the helmets.

Is this a Fiberglass, Rondo, or EVA Foam helmet? With Fiberglass I just spraypaint the inside black and add the padding in spots. I've never done the rondo for the inside, and for foam the spray plasti-dip does work but mat need 2 coats.

I wouldn't worry so much about the appearance of the interior. I'd probably give it a coat of primer, and then add padding as needed to make it comfortable and keep it from moving around. Whatever's cheap, doesn't look like ****, and won't get #rekt by some sweat. I'm not sure where you'd get it or what it costs, but for this purpose I'd consider some dual density or low density/open cell foam.

I picked up some auto underbody coating spray at Lowes for like $3. It's sweatproof, black, lightly textured, dirt cheap, tough, won't peel off... Everything you need, basically. Some cheap furniture foam pads over the top that are easily replaceable should finish it off.

I use Poly Foam and felt on the top of that. It is very comfortable. It locks in place and seals the visor in one step. Using the balloon method and Styrofoam blocks as registration keys. I pour the mixture into the helmet and it expands into all the voids. Then I cut out viewing area of visor and peel off any excess. To prevent it from grabbing unwanted areas I spray mold release agent.

Let me bust out the picture of the interior of my helmet again.

It's polyfil foam covered with cotton/poly fabric. OP, I know you said you wanted to stay away from fabric because it gets soiled, but this is incredibly comfortable and it breathes very well. Also, I've attached it to the inside of the helmet with velcro (with the exception of the top pad which is simply held in with friction), so it's all removable if I want to clean it.

Well that is a great idea and you can still wash it. I meant there are some people who have taken like a harsh / felt like fabric and lined the interior I do like yours because of the amount of space it does take up and hides a bit.
Well done
