I apologize for the necro, as well as the double post, but I figured it was better than starting a new thread. ^^;



Hey 405th, I FINALLY have some updates! First, I've been working on that Cortana cosplay tutorial, mostly just finding all the links to the stuff I bought, as well as making an actual supplies list; and I've been making a split tutorial for the people who are ambitious like me and want to make their own suits, and a version that skips the suit assembly process if you choose to just buy a pre-made suit and go from there.



Also, I don't quite know what happened, but the paint on my suit seems to have lost it's luster after I put it in storage; and it's also apparent in some of the photos I got back from GenCon where the paint almost looks faded, although I think that was mostly due to lighting, etc. But, I do want to revamp parts of my cosplay this year that I couldn't do last year, mainly due to money and space constraints. One thing I've wanted to do since the beginning was use another fabric to create the dark designs on her body, but in order to do that, I would need a body double. My solution? Make a duct tape dummy of my whole body!



Here's a photo of the fabric I plan to buy for the designs; it has all the holographic details and such that you just can't get with paint alone:

This will also give me a chance to fix a few imperfections in the suit. I will also add an option in the tutorial for if you want to forgo the paint route and do the fabric designs.



Also, I have been fixing up my beautiful wig, adding beads and refining the style a bit more, it's looking alot better and more accurate!



So that's about it for now, I'll try and get some really big updates next month when I will have some time to actually work on it.

It's from Syfabrics.com. Haha, I'm still trying to convince my fiance to dress up as Master Chief. :lol I wanted him to for Dragon*Con this year, but he wanted us to do Buck and Dare instead.
