$0.30 UV reactive wire (Would work nicely for energy sword)

I was looking around some places for stuff to case mod my pc with, and i ran into this

It's UV reactive wire for lighting your case, but i know some folks put similar light cabels in their energy sword props.
So i saw the price and though this could help some people out, i know it's different than some of the wire some people have used for their swords but this wire is similar and only 30 cents, it doens't say for how long it is, but it's 18 ga. wire so it's got reasonable thickness. anyhow hope this helps someone

its called el wire (electroluminescent wire)

iirc sean uses that in his energy sword.

i have some blue on my comp case. it gets surprisingly bright for such a small wire.

no thats florcent stuff this has a small batery pack and lights up when a current goes through it

i knew there was a difference i just forgot the other stuff was called EL wire
Yeah, i think it would be great as a cheaper alternative to EL wire, same concept, just run a current through it and it glows,
the only problem is the web site doesn't say how much you get lengthwise. But i am sure you get enough and for $0.30 it's really no problem ordering more.
