1st Build 3D Printed ODST Build

This is my 3D printed Odst as I am Building it

Update 1: Right Shoulder


Update 2: Left CQB Shoulder


2nd Shoulder printed and assembled and then roughly fit it to the plate carrier ill be using it as my base layer for the armor to attach to.

Update 3: Right Forearm

This is currently the longest print I've done sitting at 1 day 19 hours to print the main part and the 4 hours for the elbow pad because it didn't fit my printer without splitting it up.


A current look at all the parts printed so far, the foam chest is just to show off with the rest for scale it will be replaced soon.


This was the new forearm next to my old DFT template one and I'm amazed at how different it looks and not sure how I thought the foam one looked good.

Update 4: Painting current parts
Whilst waiting for the 2nd gauntlet to print I started to paint the parts I had.

Update 5:
Both forearm printed glued and painted.

need to work on the padding on the inside as they roll around on my arms and also can’t decide if I want to put red paint on them or just keep them black.

Any tips for padding and opinions on adding red is much appreciated.

If anyone do response with padding suggestions, I would also like to know so I can add some to biceps
Also those are amazing forearms

I generally recommend upholstery foam for padding, it's very light and compressable.

Update 6: Helmet
Had a weeks break but back and changed plans slightly so I made the helmet
Original plan was to make this thing after all the armour but I got new files for the armour and was making the ready whilst this printed


Printed in 8 parts and is heat fused together on the inside with a soldering Iron



Priming and wood filling


Painting



Test fit half the sniper goggles


Weathering and black wash


Sniper goggles will be done soon

as for the visor I’m clueless on how to do it as I can’t vac form one, open to suggestions

Not really, at the moment the padding in the helmet isn't the best so it kinda wobbles anyway but I think with the correct padding in it it will hardly be noticeable at all.

Didn't expect to be the first to fully print the helmet that kinda cool, you did a really good job at the file much appreciated, can't wait to have the full set printed and posted on here for people to see.

Update 7: ONI plate carrier
Decided to make the oni rig as I don’t see many cosplayers do it and thought it would stand out more

Stuck with the red colours and replaced the typical green lens on the ab plate for red also


This is everything made so far, the gauntlets and regular ODST shoulder will be changed soon and be more accurate
