My first impression was that he was black as well. Particularly from the "Who's next?" line. However, it sounds less like it in the second line he says, and anyway, it's hard to tell from the two lines we've been given so far. Now I'm undecided.
I'm loving the variety of voices in Reach, though. Lots of interesting accents on Noble Team.

Emile is either black or Russian. That's what the vocal analysis tells me.
As for this trailer, looks like we know what Charlie Hotel looks like, for sure this time. And it makes sense that she sounds like an older Cortana; the AI was made from Catherine's flashcloned brain.
As far as knowing about the SIII project, it's possible she doesn't, quite yet; she may be under the premise that they're a small SII class, or maybe in the novels, she has suspicions that she hasn't confirmed until Ghosts of Onyx. It could be she found out because of her close involvement in Project MJOLNIR.
In any case, I'm lovin' it.

actually she invented mjolnir and and of coarse the S-II project leader and by extension the cynical "let's save all humans" believerist(made that up) grandmother of the S-II program.
but yeah to but it blunt and short someone very close to all things realted to spartans and in the novels the *"S-II class-II"* that were mentioned could have been infact the S-IIIs and probably before the fall of reach halsey probably was try'in to figure out what ackerson was doing(halsey and ackerson were having a tech war with each other)

i luv the hint about john when she talks about noble 6 when she says he has a big kill record and stuff, and said there is only one other spartan that has a kill record like that(only talking about john) and then u know she had to have been talkin to Cortana about all that due to her being the only ai to choose a Spartan and john was Halsey fav spartan. so her saying great minds think alike had to have been just that i think. o just hope they have some run in with the other Spartans in this that would be assume. and Jorge about him finally coming home and it will be hardest for him being back and helping protect reach.
Halopedia confirms that cathrine halsey is talking to Auntie dot at the end . At 1:07 you can see 6 handing a Ai chip to Kat .

That was a great trailer! Cool to see Halsey in an official form outside of the novels. Im really happy that Bungie is consistant with the stories outside of the games and vice versa. I stil haven't read Ghosts of Onyx, but give them faith, in that they have been very good with keeping consistancy with their story lines.
We were all wrong... on the Reach ULTD app on the iphone it says that Jun was born in Tyumen, which is a russian city. Carter is from Durban, which is a city in south africa, but he is still american. Kat is from Monastir, I couldnt find anything in the dictionary, never mind, Monastir is in Italy! Jorge is from Palhaza, which is in hungary. Emile is from Luxor which is Egyptian! Noble 6 was born in X so I have nothing
