Advice needed for ODST under suit

I'm working on my first full-body costume, which is going to be an ODST from Halo 3: ODST. I'm using the official cosplay guide as my primary reference. The ODST under suit is a fairly complicated piece, although most of it isn't going to be visible underneath the armor. Still, for the flexible bits highlighted in red, I need some advice on how to approach making them, since they will be visible and I want them to look nice. Asking for material choice, coloring tips, or if any pre-made clothing would be an accurate approximation. Thanks in advance!

I'm also working on my Halo 3 ODST currently so I'll share what I'll do with mine and what I think is a good solution IMO.

The Neck part is quite similar to neck covers from star wars , mandalorian etc. So for inspiration, you can search something like this up on Etsy or Google to get an understanding of how other people do it. Sewing is a wonderful option for this because you can use quilted batting as an Interfacing to sew the rounded parts and then sew a hidden zipper at the back to easily put it on and off. You could also use some EVA Foam which the method would be very similar just that you wouldn't need to sew. You can simply glue a zipper to the back as well. For the Neck pattern I'm not sure if we have something in the armoury but you can wrap your neck and the surrounding area in cling film and then add strips of tape , you can then trace where things will go and cut it out to then use it on Foam. (Keep in mind the thickness of the type of foam you want to use.)

The inner thigh part is a bit easier in that regard. Either thin 2mm EVA foam layered and then straight up painted, or Foam with fabric like pleather glued over it. Then you can simply glue all the segments to each other and into your thigh.

I hope my explanation gets the point across, it's a bit messy, but feel free to ask if something is confusing!

im building on my ODST too and want an undersuit like that made eventually. I was thinking that the ab piece looked easy enough to freehand the design on to foam, cutting it out and covering said foam in fabric +a bit of trial and error.

I'm looking into making a spartan undersuit and was thinking the same thing. Glue seems easier than sewing to me.

Glueing is definetly easier , sewing is more so if you have a sewing machine . And it really depends on what type of look youre going for , for the neckpiece if its made out of cotton it will be much more breathable than straight up Foam but wont be if its pleather. You can also always do Foam , glue fabric on top and sew on top of it if its 2mm foam and the reference shows something like a seam line , that gives fabric a thickness too if one doesn't want to deal with interfacing or you cant have any (like iron on interfacing on pleather) .
