Nah, the way I understand it is you make a mold of everything, you fill in the gem first with colored casting material, let it cure, then pour in the rest to make the gem a separate color yet still one piece.

Raziel: from the Soulr Reaver Series Was my favorite character/ Game series of all time. Wish they kept going with the Kain stories though.

Makes perfect sense, But I also want to put LEDs inside the colored material so It glows. Should I fill it with something and then pour the rest in? In the mean time I gotta start working out. So right now I am using Youtube to find some exercises to help me build muscle. Any Spartans with the same concern check these vids out:

Do a test to see if they will still operate after being set, if they do then place them in the wet gem and run wires out of the mold to where ever so you can reach em. Then once it's all done right up electronic to the exposed leads.

My advice for the arm cannon, use the Transformers Bumblebee arm cannon. Just change the outside and you're good to go!!

Oh I have big plans for the arm blaster don't you worry about that. When I am done it will have a tutorial and a place in the hall of honor. The plan is to make it turn my right/left forearms/hands shift into busters. But that's just the plan I cant I'll just make one arm a buster. Like I said before I have a whole year to work on this.

which are you planning to make first? the helm or the gem?

the gems are on both the helmet and the torso but I would like to work on the torso first. since this is a molded armor it's going to be tricky. I guess it makes sense to work on the gem first I guess I don't really know what to do there.

well i was trying to say is if you worked on the helm and the torso first when ever your done with them make a model of the gem then while you cast it, cast it to the helm/torso if possiable

Do you mean to hot glue it or something? I guess I can. Or perhaps I should use some sort of resin?

well when you are making the gem let it cure for a lil while and set the helm/torso on it so it would cure to the helm/torso if its possiable

Sounds like a good plan to me. Any objection anyone else?

For the Gems I would probably scratch build them with cardboard using the slicing method, but that means you'd have to draw each part, then cut them out of cardboard, then Use bondo to smooth them out, but they would be very brittle, so maybe you can resin or fiberglass the cardboard first, I'm not sure, I never really got a chance to try the slicing method.

I'm actually doing both whilst going to a gym in my town. so i hope to get some serious results withing a few weeks. Meanwhile I save some cash for my clay. I'm not really worried about sculpting now that I have found some more reference pics and have been following the forums here more closely. But in the meantime while you guys are waiting, I'm going to help other threads so I can upgrade to veterans, and when I have something worth posting, then I will post every second of my work. :)

UPDATE!!! MY INVENTION IS READY TO SELL!!! FINGERS CROSSED!!XD
