bioshock delta replica HELP

Nice build, glad to see that you made such progress on it. I may be doing one of the Big Daddy kits as well at some point. Cardboard shipping tubes would probably be the material I'd start with on the tanks on your back. For the two clear ones, I'd probably use a combination of shipping tubes and clear plastic rolled into a tube, using colored plastic sheets or vellum to simulate the liquid inside.

thats a pretty good idea. i was thinking for the clearish ones, maybe either what you said, or like just a clear plastic bottle with the tops made to look like caps instead of the actual bottle part.

Nice Bioshock 1 reference. "Would you kindly?" I think you're on the right track. Just might be too big maybe. Not sure though.

man im telling you right now, its huge! its supposed to be though, im trying to make it 1/1 scale so i will just wear a suit under it that makes me look alot larger

Thats basically the hardest part of the build and you've passed with flying colors. All you really need is a jumpsuit, maybe an auto mechanic jumpsuit. Something dull navy blue, and gritty. Then you just need to sow on the square armor plates, (Foam maybe?) and add the backpack. I think any kind of old fire extinguisher or oversized pvc will do.

The clear tanks could just be rolled up clear plastic and some food colored water. You might even be able to use a 2 litre soda bottle. Then you just roll up some cardboard, fiberglass it, add spikes, and youll have a giant drill. Maybe even a powerdrill motor.

thats what ive been thinking for all of it. and yes i was trying to make the drill spin. :D right now im trying to find a handheld electric screwdriver.

So I've got a really large PVC pipe and a smaller PVC pipe, I think I'm going to do some foam details on it then paint them, somehow attach them,Im gonna try to find some larger clear bottles for the health and eve tanks and maybe put lights in them, drill holes for the tubes, and attach the tubes to the front and back of the helmet, do a little paint weathering on The tubes and tanks, paint a little patina on it, and then add in the glass and LEDS! Does that sound like it will work to you guys?

Ok so when I did mine for the big back tank I got like a big piece of cardstock and put it in a role then added thin cardstock at the top to round it then I paper mached it and for the little tank I used a shipping tube and used some cardstock to round the tops then I paper mached it then for the two little adam and eve tanks I went to michaels and went to the scrapbooking section and got these thin clear sheet things and rolled them up and painted the inside of them and it looked really good you could maybe even add some LED's thats what I did and if you want I could send you a pic of the back for some ref if you would like that

Found this by indy mogul. Might help you with the air tanks.
1:24 - 2:50 You don't need all the materials but he tells you how to make a good air tank thing

comments would realy be appreciated.

idk maybe its just me but i think the suit needs a "wash" now when i say wash i don't mean clean it, "wash" is a modeling term basically its a coat of thin black paint that is streaked acrossed the panel lines or rivets to give it more shadow and make it pop out more..... it can be hard some times because you need to seal the 1st layer of paint with gloss and you never know if you spray enough gloss on it.... the gloss is put on because you need to thin your black paint with paint thinner, if you don't seal it with gloss it will eat the 1st layer of paint and sometimes it'll eat your putty or bondo as well...... hmm this response post seemed shorter in my head

i get what your saying, ive done it before on a few other projects. like you said, it should make it look a bit more realistic.

Edit: ok so i haven't been on here lately AT ALL because of all the school work ive had, but finally this weekend i am going to TRY to put in the tubes if im not super busy like i have been here lately. right now i can give you guys the latest news on it though.
-so far most of the comments for it on other websites have said that it will be (from the pictures so far) the most realistic and accurate delta helmet by far! (yay!)
-all i have left to buy for it is the plexiglass and LEDs (i have the material for the foam on the inside of the helmet so i can fit in it, and i have the tanks and tubes already)
-i have given the helmet somewhat of a wash, but not too much since i don't want to take away from the color.
so any more news and pictures i have i will post, but right now i just need to finish it up (since there's not much left) then i can work on the suit!

oh yes and one more thing (no, i don't feel like editing the post again... sorry guys, deal with it!) i have gotten an electric screw driver for the drill and ive started working on the frame for the drill.

ok, so ive made some progress on the helmet. school is overwhelming my life right now so im sorry for being so slow with this! but, patience and it shall all come together.... any way, here is a picture of the helmet with its "wash" and a picture of me wearing the helmet with one of the many things on that i will wear to make me look larger. yes, the helmet needs lots of foam inside of it... under the shoulders and everywhere!

and one quick question for you guys, does the helmet look centered about right to you guys? does everything look about right so far? if any changes (other than the normal stuff i just haven't added yet) need to be made, just let me know!
