Convince me not to. Mk6 1st build

besides the compression pants. What do you put in the areas that aren't covered by armor? like the knee, groin, and armpits? do you have anything asides from the under armor? currently I'm kind of cold in just the under armor (i imagine that will change with foam added inside the armor and stuff though).
We have a whole thread devoted to "What's Your Undersuit:"

I do reccomend using the Search Function on the Website or using Google or Bing with the Boolean operator of "AND 405th" to help locate resources in the future before just asking in a thread like this, as it is possible that your question can get overlooked in a thread, and there are literally hundreds of threads on this Forum about Undersuits and what people wear under thier armor.

For the Mark VI like you are doing there are certain details that are unique to its under suit depending on how far down the accuracy rabbit hole you are willing or desiring to go. There are several company that makes Lycra/Zentai suits that replicate the look of the Halo 4 or 5 style undersuit and one company that makes specifically makes a print in the the Halo 2/3 style. Same thickness as Underarmor compression gear, but having the details replicated really makes it pop.

Several folks in the past made silicone or rubber replicas of the torso and shoulders for the Mark VI, but those folks are no longer active.

The Halo The Series Undersuit is differrent, but is stylistcally closer than the Reach abdominal section that a lot of folks have done great work replicating and have resources for, so finding threads using the search function about that style of udnersuit can also help.

a few more pics. The entirety of both legs are done. I'm using the duct ape to get an idea of where I may need support clips/straps and to hold together seams (which are being glued(Friday). I am currently working on the forarms. I do have a hard stop coming up tho. Almost out of non black/grey filiment to use and unless the wife approves another purchase of roughly 4 spools it will be on hold for a bit.
Which is fine i will pivot to sanding and finishing. I'm in no major rush i dont have any possible cons will july.

Let me know what you think?

It's been a minute sense I had somthimg I felt worth wile to update.

But here's the current status.

Was warm enough to go outside and sand / paint. My seams are still kinda rough. But I'm sure I can figure out how to fix them.

The new painted color really helps my brain think they look cleaner. I can now refocus on the rough spots.

Been a minute again. had to take like 3 weeks off from working on it been busy with life but got some nice process in the last 2 weeks.

1st working on sizing the pack plate.

this is 100% scale to moesizzlac build from 2018. i think i will be sizing it up about 1 inch to 108% so it is wider on my sholders and lower on my back.

I also attempted to do a "full suit up" last night

the gauntlets, and legs are all filler primed and sanded to 220. i have been told i should go up at least 1 more grit level on them, the shoulders obviously aren't don't yet and the cod still needs finished but its coming alone.

Now i am working on figuring out how the back connects to the front.

I am trying to figure out if I put my connector magnets in the red seam on in the black seam so i can have the front snap to the back. also how strong of magnets should I use?

Printing is on hold for the week because i am completely out of throw away filament but I have 16 spools on order and 11 of them are for armor.

Thanks again for all the help and advice.

Its my understanding that for the rigging of the MK6
The jacket will go over the H harness, the harness will clip to the belt which will be holding up the CoD piece and the legs.

The arms will have straps connecting to the chest piece as well as foam, Velcro, or snaps that connect the arms to the jacket to prevent twisting.

The boots will be using elastic and foam to hold them in place around the show which may or may not be removable. (probably not my current shoes could use replaced as is).

Let me know if you think I'm missing any thing.

for check magnets I'm thinking something like these are 80 lbs magnets so they may be to strong.

I'm not sure magnets will do the trick entirely. Even really strong ones might give way while you're wearing the armour. Magnets in conjunction with parachute clips might be the way to go.

This is OFiveTwo, he used magnets to hold his chest plate together. While it works most of the time, there was this one time he fell apart at C2E2 2024. Funny gif follows, and goes to show some sort of reinforcement might be useful.

I'm trying to figure out how strong the magnets i want to use should be. i found 80 lbs magnets and 45 lb magnets. i imagain that means the amount of weight needed to separate them.

Ok i need some help. I started looking for a weapon and quickly got over whelmed.

i was sent here to look for something. I was thinking of doing one of the battle rifles, the pistol or maybe the shot gun.

What are every ones opinions?

The weapon of your choice is entirely up to you, but the pistol may be more beginner friendly and easy to travel with.
Also; if you are overwhelmed, try using the search bar to type in key words while on the the 3D modeling index page.

Kind regards,
