I’ve been cosplaying for over ten years, made foam armor, worbla armor, leather armor, sewed several costumes, but one thing I never got into is LIGHTING. Specifically LED lighting. Cortana Couture is going to be a glamorous light up dress with UV reactive paints involved. This idea hit me when I saw the prom night with the 405th at C2E2 2024.
I’m planning a body suit underneath using performance stockings from welovecolors . com- then painting UV reactive designs onto it while stretched out over my mannequin.
I’ll be adding layers of organza for that ethereal shimmery AI effect and a few accessories like a Guilt Spark clutch bag or something.
I’m posting my concept art here as well as the light up fabric I intend to use (it’s pricey of course ). I want to make the most out of being in body paint and what better way to transition from the Cortana suit into a dress for the night?
