I got the the scope from an airsoft website called Evike.com, the link is in my post on page 3. (I wouldn't recomend them, they're pretty shady and I won't be doing business them again.)



The barrel is a piece of 7/8" steel pipe and the muzzle break (or flash hider in this case) is a piece of 3/4" PVC and I made the slots with a cut-off wheel attachment for my dremel.

Curious as to what problems you had with Evike? Im an airsofter and have been using them for a year now along with most of my fellow local players and we have yet to have a major problem with them. most of it is delayed shipments due to the recent crack down on the shipments as they come into the country from the factories. Silly customs.

The delay is definitely the main offender, but I have to say what pissed me off the most was when I ordered my ACOG scope, (the one in my earlier build pics) it worked fine the first day or so, but then the adjustment knob for the brightness started to not work, so I filed for a return. It took me forever just to find where the form for returns was on the website, (I ended up having to call) and when I finally find it and fill it out I find out they have a two week period of grace for returns, after which it's void. Well they didn't send me a confirmation e-mail for over three weeks at which point I decided "f*** it, they're gonna just blow me off" so I tried to fix it myself, which voids the warranty. Well that didn't work. At all. So now I'm stuck with a pretty looking paper weight that mounts onto picatinny rails. Oh, and here's the best part: about a week after I destroyed it in the process of trying to fix it, I finally got the return confirmation e-mail. so, yeah...

That kind of half-ass warranty policy (which is how they get away with having such cheap prices) kinda turned me away from them.

And the thing that sealed the deal was the scope I just ordered for my DMR was listed on the website as "green and blue illuminated scope" and the whole reason I ordered that particular scope was for the blue because I thought it was cool and it would look like the in-game HUD. Well when I got it, it turned out to actually be green and red. So I called to express my concern (or scream at someone if the former didn't get me anywhere) and as I'm calling I noticed they changed the description on the website to "green and red illuminated scope", obviously to cover up their f*** up after they sent mine, so I just hung up and decided to live with it.



Anyway, sorry for the ridiculous rant lol, but that's why I'm done with Evike. Can you recommend another airsoft website I could try?

It is a real scope. I built the rest of the housing around it.
