that sculpt is epic , i agree there tango it does look like the helmets those snow marines have

hey peter any chance of future runs of these marine helmets?

Any props seen here and made exclusively within the OC prop team (so most of the weapons, helmets and so on) will not be made outside of runs required for the film. This is not to say they will never be available, but we will not be doing seperate sales or runs.

As far as forced perspective goes, it really shouldn't be necessary. We've already had 4 willing participants who are 5' tall, so that should settle us if we assume we get even more in the near future.

As far as rough guesstimates, I've stopped worrying about giving deadlines and so on. It'll be done when it's done, but we hope to have something near a complete cut of the film by end of 2010.

Oh thats going to make the movie even better! lol Can't wait!

Alright PC that'd be awesome if it was release on the same day as Halo:Reach but, I don't know how realistic that is. If you need help with ANYTHING I can try.

Release in line with Halo: Reach is highly unlikely. Also, I wouldn't want to release same day - with regards to impact of the film's release it would be suicide. We would likely, out of preference, release approximately 1-2 months after a big Halo event.

It will naturally depend on the quality of the final product and whether we have made something already in the interim. We're bringing our creature effects team together now, so we may end up going down our own avenue for all that - but do keep me posted. :)

Sorry if I've interrupted the flow of discussion, but just to let you all know, I've broken the embargo of silence on my involvement with OC. The SPNKr I'm building is for OC, and will be used to make moulds for the casting of multiple launchers. Usual updates will be on my project blog here, and significant progress reports will be posted here once in a while.

I'm going to try to be nice about this, but I was quoted about this issue on this very page. Could you please read my entire thread? c_c

In short, there is no set release date. It'll be done when it's done.
