First Full Suit 2016

Hello everyone and welcome to my first halo suit build.

The templates i'm using are from a guy called Pretzel (I'm going to link his Facebook as i can't find his 405th account ) please check him out and give him a like he has some pretty cool stuff. https://www.facebook.com/pretzelslocker

The plan for this is to have it done by June for Supernova Sydney

I'm working with foam as much as i can for this build (except for the plasma pistol which is an old laser tag gun)

Recruit forearms 100%
ODST shoulder 100%
Scout helmet 100%
Cod 100%
MK5 Torso 100%
Mk6 legs 100%
Scout shoulder 100%
Under Suit 1000%

So as you can see i have along way to go but i'm confident i'll be able to have it finished in time

That's coming out great, im still working on mine. its a pep build just need the cod, shoulders and arms, and boots.

Hello all update time.

Progress is slow as school just started up so i don't have much time to work on my projects.

I've done most of the base of the helmet.

Finished the knife.

And attempted to make a box for the knife.

For my first template i think it turned out alright but the spray paint kinda messed up.

That's all for now, I hope to have some more done soon.

Well it's been awhile but i'm back with another update.

First off i now have a matching set of forearms.

And late last week as i neared the end of my helmet it turned out to be to big so i started on a new one.

I have also been able to make a neck seal using preen something (i don't remember the name), it's a flexible rubber mat about 4mm thick covered in fabric.

The new helmet is the one on the right.

Love the helmet been making one myself. Have not seen a lot of foam ones and yours looks great. Just a question what did you use for the visor?

For the larger one i cut up a takeaway box and the smaller one i think is from a gift box,
But any flat plastic works,
For this build i cut out the visor using the templates that came with the helmet and with a little bit of moding i got it to fit.
For things like Mk 6 or ODST look on the web for one or try vacuforming one.

Wow, a June completion date is ambitious. Looks like you're making good headway, though. How many hours per day/week are you at? I'm feeling pressure and my end date is September.

Nice to see those old laser tag Plasma Pistols bangin' around. I hope Mattel does more laser tag gear, as that would allow them to make their designs closer to source material.

And I'm back again

This week progress has been slow (I just got Destiny so that might have some thing to do with it)
but I have stared on a halo 4 scout shoulder.

And in honor of the new Deadpool movie (Which is Awesome) I threw together this.

After many months of absence I return.

I've nearly finished my suit and I'll upload Photos as soon as I finish.
Till then this is the post I meant to make about mid april.

Mk V torso all done and dusted (I switched to the Mk V because it would be quicker to build).

Mk VI boots are all done and looking a lot better than my first try.

Scout helmet Mk2 this time it fits.

And now bonus stuff.

So I made this hand plate not quite sure what armor type it's from.

And finally this wondrous thing is (as best as I can figure) is vinyl mesh,I'm thinking of using it to colour the visor.

The way things are going the suit will be ready to paint next week so I'll update by then.
