Foam ODST Build!

Alright got the chest plate attached to the base and the stomach plate and torso plates attached to the chestplate. It looks big but fits pretty good, looking pretty close to in-game.

Also got one sideplate done, just the one, but it looks okay, been busy today with other stuff, so not alot of progress

Yep some more progress got the second side plate done and its attached to the chest via contact cement, working on my magnets now, but here is a pic with it pinned together then once its it's got its magnets on and going it will be almost completed!
Hope you guys are liking the progress, it's really hard to do (not really, very simple shapes)

Also after the magnets, I will be working on my spine plate next. That should really get the armor looking like in-game

Alright so I'm using high density foam board my dad gets from work, I drew my "cross sections" basically a perfectly even plus or cross then I drill a hole the size of my magnet and do that four times, this is what in talking about.

Alright got the magnets in the foam board stuff.

And attached them on both sides of the chest under the side plate, I glued it in the spot i like then I put the other magnet on top and glob the cement on and pressed it on the inside of the sideplate to make an outline and and then glued inside the outline to make a precise positioning like so.

And its completely hidden so all good on that front and here is the final product, I need to put a torch to the inside of the flap to contour it to the chest

Magnets didnt hold up while worn so I swapped to a release button buckle system on some elastic straps, works damn good!

Alright, soooo now I will do the spine plate, I will try to measure it accordingly, last attempt was too small

Oh yeah, did I mentioned I attached to my chest piece too, definitely did that the second I finished the spine plate. Yeah T2 is definitely mine might even be T3 worthy.

Spine came out sick. Letting you know now, the butt plate is a misleading piece, thought it was gonna be easy but took more time on it then I care to admit .
But you're more experienced so you might roll right through it lol.

Soooooo I did it, I did it!! I made my fanny/butt plate, hopefully it brings all the ladies to the yard.
I will upload lots of pics, I hope you guys appreciate my progress hoping my trooper looks life like at the end of all this I'm doing.

Also made some final touches inside like cut out some slots and heat forming to be more rounded, wanna see?
