I love your commitment to the final product, your ability to just scrap a piece and make a new one isnt always easy and your confidence is inspiring. I was wondering if you still used the "folded paper method" as mentioned in the first video and if so why not just flip the template over?

Yup, I still use the "folded paper method" when ever I can, usually for bigger parts or parts that need both sides to be symmetrical. Now that you mention it, I do flip them over to help save time when I have to make lefties and righties of parts.

Awesome looking build! I continue to be in awe of those who can freehand build with foam. That helmet looks quite impressive! Keep up the good work.

It's Update Time Once Again! :D

Some major progress has been made ont he armour:

+ The helmet, torso piece, and thigh piece have all been painted.

While the paint job is kinda rough, I'm quite satisfied with it. And I have learned some very valuable lessons that I'll carry on with me into my later builds :D

As of now, on the agenda is to finish detailing the shoulder plates, to have everything that isn't painted yet painted, and to find better mounting solutions for pieces like the ab plates (as they're held into place with tape in this picture) and for the thigh and shin guards.

I have noticed from my concept picture that the back part of the torso piece should come up higher on my back. I made this a preference in order to save on mobility, but it
seems I made it a bit too small. It also seems that the helmet is too big also, although if I had scaled it any smaller I wouldn't be able to fit my head through the access hole...
Oh well, another lesson learned :D

As for the painting process:
Here's the helmet getting ready for the black rimming and detailing.

And here it is after the black has dried:

Completely forgot to get some pictures of the white detailing and the chest pieces while painting, but to be honest it wasn't that interesting a stage anyways lol.
Hope you enjoyed today's update, I can't wait to see this thing finished :D
