thanks and you can see the helmet in page 2 of this thread. I finished building the cardboard base of every hard armor part, currently I'm coating it and I started on making the undersuit.

I'm making the undersuit with a long sleeve t-shirt, I used a sort of black foam rubber and it's cut and glued onto the long sleeve.

also, it's going to be covered in latex with black paint mixed in it, so the foam texture is gone and it gets the rubbery texture and look like in the game.

It' probably is, but not the whole body is covered in it and I was thinking of building in some PC fan's in the chest armor for some air circulation.

A fully breathable undersuit is a bit more complicated and leather is the only thing I can think off at the moment what does that. Seeing that I don't have any experience in sewing or working with leather I do it this way.

WOW! This is looking REALLY awesome for a scratch build! Even the under armor piece that you have over the stomache looks extremely accurate! You also have some really good gloves as well!

there is a reason why I do a scratch build, I did start on a Pepakura one, but the lack of detail was bothering me (I started before the HD files where available) also I personally thought that a Pepakura one wouldn't be a challenge. I wanted it to be my own project, using all my skills and to learn new stuff like techniques, materials and sharpen my normal skills on a limited budget.

Those gloves are my dad's (old) motorcycle gloves btw ^^

I used fibreglass and resin on the in side to strengthen almost all of the parts, here are a few of the smaller ones. I used to use a 2 component plastic on the outside, but it's to much of a hassle I found out after doing some parts. I lose to much detail and have to sand the pieces to much. The fibreglass and resin is also a lot cheaper, but it smell really toxic...lucky I have a respirator on while working on it.

Here are some parts after fibreglassing with a basecoat of paint, this way I can see the irregularities better. On the picture the parts look really crisp and clean, but in reality a lot of edges have to be touched up.
