Hello, mjolnir follower here. This will be the base(database) for LOADS of Halo 3 multiplayer tips and tricks(glitches) and techniques.I'll start us off with the first 3,then you guys/gals keep bringing them in.

Glitches:

On sandtrap you can use a scorpion to flip an elephant by shooting and charging at the elephant, with the elephant going up an elevated platform.

Tips:

Take your opponents seriously, don't underestimate them and maybe when they kill you,you wont suffer the shame.

Techniques:

Run & jump at the same time alot, because if they cant have a steady target, how can they precisely shoot.

Keep on adding more glitches, tips and techniques

This is a really precise glitch... but on sandtrap load up the elephant with any type of exploding object that you can until you have no more in your inventory.

make sure they all have a quick respawn time, but delay a few in order to keep the chain going once you get it started.

THEN set off one of the objects and watch a fireball frenzy of death as the elephant should start glitching into the air and flipping an floating high above your head. it should continue to do this, going in a constant circle around the map until you quit the game. at this point, it may be impossible to stop the glitch without exiting.

Tip:

don't get trigger happy, try to aim before you shoot, if your opponent is trigger happy, then more than likely they'll run out of ammunition an have to reload before you get to them, so take that time to fire at their main body or head then weapon butt them into oblivion.

technique:

the best combination for this (read tip) is either the BR or the shotgun, but any combination can do it. i wouldn't suggest trying that up close with a signature seeking rocket launcher or a grenade launcher though. or grenades. lol

If you dont laugh at that glitch, you sir, are a loser! Sorry you got to download if you want to see it...

Anyways, its just me playing around with the elephant cannon glitch, search youtube for it if your interested.

ANYWAYS...multiplayer techniques! (these are techniques from a general, and I am a good general, not to brag or anything!)

On sandbox, get in the chopper and go sit as far outside of the level that you can and just start shooting at the other team like crazy. Since you are so far up on the hill you can see everything and shoot everything. It annoys the crap out of the other team and if you see a rocket coming towards you or anything else that's deadly, you can usually boost out of its path.

Ghost=Ownage on all maps in the right hands.

If you happen to be the person in a ghost never stop boosting and shooting. If you see 5 people in front of you, just start boosting! That's all I have to say for that one lol.

Sniper tricks?!?!?!

There are not really any sniper tips or tricks, honestly, it just takes practice! Ive been playing halo like every other day since halo 1 was released, So you could say I have quite a bit of practice. I like to pretend like I am holding a BR however when using it. That way it seems like an easy task to get a headshot with it. (around 60% of my sniper kills are headshots).

Sword, shotgun, grav ham and mauler = pwnzers?!?!right?!?!?!

Well in some cases they do equal major pwnzers! In other cases they do not equal major pwnzers! It might equal major teabagging of your dead body and the other person screaming in his mike. To prevent this:

1-never go running after someone whos far away enough that you cant swing at them or actually do damage with your weapons. This usually results in the teabagging of your body.

2-these weapons are mainly for surprise attacks or sneaking up on people, so crouching around corners and waiting for people is a must, unless you think you can sneak up on an unsuspecting group of rabbits and rip them to pieces and feast on there meat! They are not for charging out into the open screaming "IMA GONNAZ KILLZORS YOU NUB!!!?!?!".

3-if you get caught out in the open with your sword out or shotgun and they started shooting at you already and there not in your range, then you run like forest gump and hide! Because they most likely won't go around a corner knowing you have a sword or shotgun. If they do, easy kills for you right?

4-Multiple people are turning a corner OH ~BLAM!, im so dead! Well no not really, first thing you want to do is throw a couple grenades, lower their shields, piss them off. Then you want to maybe turn the corner and shoot at them with your crap weapon, maybe kill a few. From here you want to run away like a girl to another corner, they will most likely chase you because they still outnumber you. From here you crouch and wait then unleash death with your power weapons when they turn the corner. You can also just crouch in a corner and wait for them to all pass then start assassinating and grenading them.

5-One other thing that I see a lot of people doing with these weapons, running in a straight line towards their target?!?!? NO! It just makes for an easy no scope and much teabagging for the other guy along with a fileshare vid of "EPIC L337 NOSCOPE ON NUB". Always zigzag and jump if your not sneaking up on someone or hiding. Even then its a good idea to jump or zigzag to escape the plasma they might get off before you slaughter them.

BTW hiding is always a great idea when your shields are low or the other person started shooting at you first. Every pro I have played with is extremely good at hiding and surprise attacks. By pro I mean people who actually go play tournaments for money. I have had the priviledge of playing with quite a few, and it annoys the crap out of me with how much they hide as soon as you start shooting at them. Hit hard and fast, then dissapear my fellow halo 3 players.

Well that's all I feel like typing for now, hope this beginner stuff helps you guys lol.

actually there is one sniper "method" to be used, it branches from a RL technique used.

when sniping, the player needs to keep in mind of movement and distance. if a player is a few hundred feet, it's going to be easy to get a shot by aiming at the body part even if they are moving. the faster they move the further ahead you need to put your sites. same with the distance, if they are easily a couple hundred yards away then know that when they are moving to have the sites ahead of the target by a few inches so when fired the round will meet up with them. getting the timing right takes practice but knowing this technique will make things much easier in the game field.
