I complely agree with jolty. Also, I think that i'm more interested in seeing a new backpiece rather than edited models already released.

Those are cool and all, but I'm sticking with the old ones. They are already folded and I'm not going through it again.

there good if ur like me and scaled the chest piece too small

but im sticking iwth the old belt plate just cuz i like it more even if its not 100% game accurate

Hey Harding, did you ever unfold the new sniper plates?

Yeah, I agree. In fact, I've already PM'ed Rube and ACDCRockr about some business concerning the torso, which I should start on pretty soon.

That's fine. I just editted the models for those people who want it 100% accurate. You know, the annoying ones. I haven't decided yet, but I'm probably gonna pep the new belt plate anyway, and probably the new version of the chest plate. Speaking of the belt plate, I just took a second look at the model, and fixed some irregular geometry, cleaned everything up a bit more, straightened the indentations on the left, beveled some edges that were supposed to be rounded, and also pulled the edges of the left side of the large back area (the flat, curved area) a bit to the right, like it should be:

The center equiptment plate probably doesn't even have to be re-unfolded. I think it's fine. Oh well, at least I know that I have a more accurate version somewhere within my vault of ODST files, lol. I really don't want to pep that one again, and I'm a skinny guy, so my old pep will be just fine.

Will fix the chest plate tomorrow. See ya' ...

Just had a quick comment to add:

I do agree that I'd rather see a re-worked back piece than redo's of older pieces.

However, I do want to say if you edit/redo the chest piece: If you redo it, don't make the side portions of it too long/wide. On the older piece, I found that if I wanted the middle portion a bit taller (i.e. taking up more vertical space on the body) that I would have to obviously increase the overall width of the piece, and it ended up being too wide.. although I had intended rigging it as three seperate pieces for maximum mobility, it was still kind of bothersome. Other than that, great work on everything else! I personally do like the redone stomach plate and belt plate. Definitely keep it up.

Im sorry, n00b moment, I must be losing my mind. Every time I click a link to try to download these Pep files the page never loads, halp!

4shared appears to be down at the moment. Download it later.

They were a few pages back and you said you were gonna unfold them.XD

btw what's the best way to make the shoulder straps? and look at this pic from halo 3 at the odst's arm. It looks different.

I think this is more what the weta landfall ODST's were modeled from. They are a little different than Halo 3:ODST.

Ok guys, here's the link to the .obj for the newer belt plate (which I think is in most need of a new unfold. I'd do it myself, but I haven't "bought" Pepakura yet). I hope that someone unfolds it so I can replace it on the main post. It should only take like a minute.

And I know that there isn't too much of a need to re-unfold this one, but just for kicks, if anyone has an extra bit of time, here's the center equiptment plate. I'll post a link to the chestplate once I finish editting it.

I hear ya', man. I don't have a really big chest either, so I'll make sure to do that :)

I'll work on the torso once ACDCRockr gets me those sketches, although he says he has some homework to finish up first (although, I can start earlier if any of you can get me a good back/side/top sketch of the piece ...

I... I <3 you ... haha. But no really, I always found it weird that whenever I upsized the torso piece, it was just too small in terms of height. Because of this, I was tempted to use the newly modeled chest piece from the live-action commercial but if you're coming out with a new one I can probably wait. Perhaps I just have an abnormally tall torso in comparison to the width. I'll be waiting on this chest piece!

Also, for everyone: t-minus 9 days to DROP!!!

Hey Harding, those unfolds are super! I'll add them to the main post ASAP (and hopefully someone who is better with HTML (lol) will lend a hand in updating the Pep Wiki pics and links (if you wanna help, please PM me. Ral Partha added all the stuff that's up there now)

Since I'm a little smaller, I resized the belt plate to 188mm wide and got everything to just barely fit onto one page:

beltplatefinalunfold.jpg

The center equiptment unfold is good too, but some overlaps might cause problems. This might help you pin-point those:

Maybe the center equiptment plate doesn't need a new unfold after all, but Harding, if you could maybe fix these few tiny errors, it would make pepping much easier.
