Wow! That's a really nice looking helmet. It looks like you use white glue, right? I have about 16oz of white glue and 97 sticks of hot glue, which of the two should I use? And how am I supposed to apply the white glue, because when I made an earlier chest piece there was dried glue thumbprints all over.
Oh, and what did you do for the vents and grooves on the cheek and brow?
One last question, this is the file from the wiki right? Is that stock scale or did you scale it?
Thanks! And yep, I used white Elmer's glue, and I would strongly sugguest using it instead of hot glue. I've made a Pep weapon (from my own file) mostly using hot glue (and a lot of craft sticks on the inside), and I really didn't so much like how it turned out.
Secondly, I would strongly advise you to, instead of directly applying the white glue, squeeze some into something like a water-
color paint tray, etc, and apply lightly with a plastic-bristle paintbrush. Any left-over glue will dry and you can peel it off anything really easily. And be sure to wash the paintbrush right after you use it, it's easier than doing it later.
For the extra detailing, I used the yellow foam material off of an egg carton, cutting out each iece with an X-acto knife. As for scaling, I used the standard scale in Rundown's file, but I would advise you scaling it down maybe 5%. I'm fifteen and its a little large (but not too ridiculous to have to re-pep again)
Hope this helps!
