Thanks for all the effort on these Slyfo. I'm really looking forward to the rest of the permutations.

I don't know which specific ones you're doing currently but the Redone H3 Mk V helm and the Marathon helm are top of my list for making and fiberglassing as soon as they're done.

And to the n00bs (df4l not included), listen to Doom. He is a very talented modder that knows what all of this entails. Besides guys, remember it's be nice or be banned.

Nice job... Has anybody finished the chest (upper torso)? if so, what is the waist circumference?

I'm a little larger than average... 6'4 - not quite MC height, however, also 42" waist... and I'm afraid my 44 page Pepakura cutouts will be too small and a waist of precious time ;)

FYI: I've completed a 100% scale of the Forearm... seems smaller than an actual MC super soldier model. (fits me beautifully though)
FYI: The gauntlet scaling seems to be BANG ON for me!

Yeah, I dont exactly understand why people are getting angry at you despite the work you are doing freely for us. The majority of us are extremely grateful for your work, we owe you many thanks=]

Just a question, where are the Files? I've gone through the whole thread and can't clearly find the file links. Are they only the ones you've emailed so far?

Thanks for all of the pep files (wherever they are, teehee!)

-Darkfire

(p.s. i think this should be stickied :rolleyes )

I don't mean to be an ass or anything but how long till we can expect a pep of the Halo3 mark VI helm?

Hopefully gonna finish the MK VI helm within the next few days. Been busy with other stuff lately, but I'm back pepping again now.

We all have a common goal, so it makes sense to help each other out by doing what we're good at.

Yeah, I'm gonna do the marine/ODST armor too. I really like the new style of it. Also, I'm waiting till I have the complete set of halo 3 stuff before I put it in the download thread.

Anyone who has actually built piece(s) from Slyfo's pep files: Does it follow the same scale as the other pep files up for DL?

Also, Slyfo: Thanks a ton, just before I started my armor I thought 'Man, a CBQ Helm and body attachment would be so cool...' Then I saw your thread.
We all appreciate the work you've done. (Even tho it makes more work for me, as I'm compelled to make every permutation of the armor that I can)

HA! You too? I'm gonna make/glass every permutation from the game, including the elite ones. I eventually intend to have them on mannequins or something for a display...I figure if they were on like, mannequins it would be the best way to display it, but I mean..it'd take up a TON of space. But I really just wanna be able to mix and match my armor for whatever occasion comes up :p

follow the formula on the scaling thread and you'll be fine
the scale on slyfo's models and the other commonly used ones are DIFFERENT!
though they both seem to have been built for a 7 foot man.
keep an eye on length, width, depth on the bottom and adjust so it fits you.

i am 5'10" and go by the scale of 17.2 on everything and it seems to all fit... though ive only made the two forearms and the crotch piece so far.

Ok i'm a NOOB but i have some q's

Scaling - Is it ok to use the scaling formulae as outlined in the scaling thread?
Helmet - Where can i get the H3 helmet as it is not included in the file download in the first topic.

1. Nobody really knows how the scaling's gonna change. The best thing to do seems to be to scale the Halo 2 model, get the physical dimensions, and then scale the Halo 3 model to match those dimensions.
2. If you bothered to read the other posts in the thread, he's working on it. To be honest, if you're in a rush, not many people will notice if you wear a Halo 2 helmet with Halo 3 armor. That's what I plan on doing for Halloween, unless the armor progresses faster than expected.

I'd like to say that i have bothered to try and read every thread but i have a limited time to complete a whole suit and i am a little worried that i am not going to complete it in time.

I have almost completed the pep H2 printouts and assembly but i have only just seen this thread and would very much like to have this done but i have until the end of the month to complete.

So do i continue with the H2 costume or do i scrap what i have done so far and start a fresh with the H3 costume but with no helmet yet?
