Here are the Scout pictures for ya, they're the best quality I could get as of right now. I'm comparing hd capture cards apples to apples lately before I upgrade to a new one along with an external hard drive for it, but by the time I get one, File Share should be up on waypoint, and when that happens I will take high quality reference shots of every armor set.

I hope so, I've already got a lineup of pics ready to upload as soon as file share is up. I've already seen at least 4 people using my pics for modeling, I'm happy to contribute to a great community I'm also practicing with Sketchup and will start college for 3D Design next year so I'll be able to contribute even more

Am I alone in feeling these new armors don't feel like Halo? It looks like something from tribes, or quake 3 even.

amen to that they should of stuck with reach style armour i mean really its supposed to moving on from the original halo events fair enough but the armour is looking more like relics from a museum mass effect 1 at least looks more spaceage and futuristic and what the did they do to the pelican looks like it collided with a russian hind and came out the other side wearing that choppers front end and a bulky loading ramp from a container ship, but with all that said they have still succeeded in keeping MC looking badass

I think that the different look to the armor is a good thing, because it wouldn't look the same because Halsey isn't making these spartans.


Anyways, I got some requests in my inbox for the Fotus armor references, and here they are. Some of the pics would not come out as I wanted, but I did my best.

I've heard that File share will be up soon this month, so soon all these pics will be replaced with hd ones, when that happens I will try to snap all of the armor sets I have. I'm a level 64 right now but it doesn't take long to level up.

These are the high res models they use, to bake the details into the normal maps of the lowres model. They are never used in the actual game, but they provide all the shapes and forms for the shading.

I actually made most of it using the images from the cghub where this was taken from, then some screen shots from the spartan ops mission, then repainted over it all to up the resolution.

I got all the armors and specializations unlocked, offline only( hint), but I can't get the pics from my Xbox so that I can upload them. Any ideas other than taking pics of my tv screen, as to how I can get these. I went to custom game offline and set up a match by myself and then saved the vid to the Xbox and file share. Any ideas so that I can share these as reference.

None as yet.

HOWEVER. I found out last night that if you finish the Campaign (can be in Co-op) in Legendary difficulty, it unlocks MC's armour (pieces listed as Mark VI and the visor as "Legendary") that can be used in MP.
From there, have your primary colour set to MC's green / olive colour, play some war games and snap a few shots whilst in action (that's what I plan to do anyway). If the olive colour isn't there, I think I unlocked it at SR 30 from memory (I'm sure there's a list of colour unlocks somewhere).
