It is a little crazy, sometimes I think this may not get done in time but then I'm like stuff that I am going to do it!
Once I get all the armour pieces built I can relax a little but until then these pieces will keep coming.

Update time: The Shins

So it ended up taking a little bit longer to make these than expected but I am just glad they are finally done!

The bits that took the longest was the damn sides.
[On a side note they aren't hollow, but filled with scrap eva foam to allow for more durability]

These will need a bit of extra touchups at the next stage, but I think they have turned out well.









Next up the butt plate

If I may, here is some extra reference I found from google to help you with the magnum. Having 3/4 views usually helps me to figure out how the objects and curves are formed.

With the construction stage complete for my pistol it is time to continue with on my thighs.
Once every piece has been complete I will be using gap sealant to smooth out the rough bits.
This pistol will be attached to the thigh piece by a jacket bracket.
I also plan to use these to attach the lightrifle to the chest piece.
[On a side note, I decided to now have a detachable magazine with this version]

The following video gives you a good idea on just how much force you need to remove the magnets.

I do think it looks a bit funky with all the different colours now.
Purple, blue, red, and now green.

Not much of an update other than the body of the thighs is built.
Now I just need to finish the detailing / install pistol magnet / and prep for electronics.

HYPE!!!
These Jacket Bracket magnets work perfectly, while at the same time they are not an eye sore on the armour
The following video shows you just how quick and easy the pistol be can removed and reattached.

[Please note these pieces are not in there final positions, they are just staying in place]









With the thighs construction now complete this leaves only 1 piece of armour left to build: The chest.
I feel this build coming to an end. It almost feels like I only have 12 more days left...

Your titanfall and mc suits are turning out great too.
The sooner I get the construction stage complete the less I will stress.
Speaking of construction...

It begins with a simple outline [of which wasn't so simple to make ] Now to begin building up.
I plan to have the chest piece in 2 halves [front and back]
These will be connected by 4 jacket bracket magnets [1 at each connection]

Progress is under way on the front of the chest.
At the present moment it may appear that magnets alone won't be strong enough to keep the chest pieces together.
If this ends up being the case I plan to use clips as well.

The anticipation of Halo 5's launch has stirred the pot, so to speak, about renditions of Locke's armor. Without much to do on I've seen decent pieces an not so good pieces. You sir, have a talent for cos-design. I've watched your progress from the beginning and just needed to tell you I'm glad someone has taken the time Nd care to do this proper. Excellent work, can't wait until it's complete.

Well the construction stage anyway.
Next up is gap sealing and adjusting a few bits.
In the end this chest piece is connected by clips while the magnets assist with alignment.







Planning to do a full suit test tomorrow.

I believe that this is going to be my last 'human' Halo suit for myself so I have been going all out on it.
When I first saw the armour I was like 'Yep I'm going to build that.'
As for the armour, this build has been challenging.
I basically had to main suit concepts to reference from:
- In game Locke [MCC Locke Teaser / Halo 2 Anniversary Trailers]
- Statue / Microsofts Locke [Pics of Locke statue / Live action trailers]
In the end I have been taking the best of both designs and merging them into my concept of Locke.
I am very happy that it has turned out as well as it has

Unfortunately no full suit test ended up happening, so I will be waiting until its all painted to do it now.

I'm still just amazed at how quickly you are working through this, and yet how great it looks! Can't wait to see the finished product.

Short answer: Working on it every chance I can get and no sleep I will be very happy once its all done. Soon close too...

Update Time:

I apologise for no full suit test pictures, unfortunately I had to stay back at work, so once I got home it was too late to suit up.
I won't be doing any full suit testing now until all the armour is complete...

All armour pieces [besides the helmet and chest] have been gap sealed and are ready for plasti-dip / painting tomorrow.
I am currently trying to finalise the magnets for the lightrifle but I am having a little difficulty due to its weight.
I also believe that it is going to be one of those scenarios if I have it on my back it will stay there, because if I take it off it is very hard to get it back on without assistance.

Update time:

It has been another busy day, and I almost managed to get all the pieces of armour [minus the helmet / chest] plasti-dipped and painted. I am planning to go with a machinery grey base colour and then blackwash / add silver.

I also constructed my polymorph pieces of which now just need to be cut into shape, and reduced the height of the helmet once more.

Update time:

Been another busy day between work.
List of what was completed today.
- Boots, Knees, Thighs, Butt, Shoulders, Forearms, Handplates, and Magnum all ready for detail painting.
- Helmet and Chest ready for gap sealing.
- Lightrifle base built and electronics installed.
[Downside it that the lightrifle is too heavy for the chest to support it correctly so scraping that idea for the time being]
