Halo AI Costumes

Halo there!

I have a question that has been burning in my mind for a while now. Do we have a set standard or pre-requiset for Hal AI costumes /cosplays? I tried searching but I found nothing related to my search. I primarily cosplay as Cortana and I am curios if we have guidelines or standards for non-armor cosplays. I have an original character AI from my Halo roleplay server and I would love to show her off here when I bring her to life. If not, all good! Also, I have made a Doctor Halsey wig so I plan to cosplay her at times as well. Looking forward to your feedback and thoughts!

Keep in mind that the owning of a completed costume is not a requirement for general 405th or Regiment membership.
The only standards we have in place are for the optional Deployment program for sorting acostume into one of three tiers based on Accuracy, Construction, and Fit and Finish. That said, a costume does not have to have gone through the Deployment program in order to be worn at a 405th Event.

You can find out more about the Deployment Program and its guidelines here:

In regards to your question, the Deployment program is only intended for Costumes that are from an official Bungie, Microsoft, or 343i source. That does mean that if your AI character is a completely original creation, it would not qualify for Deployment. However, remember a costume does not have to be deployed to be worn or used at an Event. Since it is a custom character it would be best to give the Command Staff of the Regiment organizing the event a head's up, but that is a courtesy and I cannot imagine a Regiment's CS having any issue with. There might be very specific events, such as the Red Carpet events for the Halo Television, where a completely custom character might not be allowed due to specific requests from the outside agency we are partnering with, but, again, these are extremely limited.
