1st Build Halo infinite mark 7 progress

Today the visor for the helmet got cut out.
I used a plexiglass cutter for this one. It's mostly accurate to the template traced even after the edges were sanded. Unfortunately, it did not cut all the way through. It kept cracking close to the traced area when snapping the entire shape out. There's still some plastic left for a re do on the visor. Might have to get a saw for the next one.

Update on the new visor. Got a wood saw for cutting the orange acrylic out. A new traced visor was done to the correct length.
This time a test was done to see if the saw actually cut through. It works! I don't have experience with cutting acrylic that much but it should be easier now

The visor is almost done cutting. The hand saw is very useful in cutting out the shape. Although cutting edges is difficult to do

Visor is now cut out successfully! Cutting the plastic sure is quite the workout

Visor is now heat shaped and ready to be glued. Some sanding is needed at the edges to fit in the helmet. Next step after the helmet would be cutting out the re sized Bicep pattern then re painting all parts

Today some more heat forming was done. This is the closest the visor can fit in. It does align right on the top half but there are gaps on the side and bottom. I plan to use the foam clay to fill in the lines. A side piece did break off while heat forming but it can still be glued back on. Hopefully by tomorrow the helmet can be finished and I can move on to doing unfinished parts of the armor

Heat forming the visor again. I took a look at the shape of the visor and I now know what to do. It needed to be slightly curved in the middle and then the sides are the parts that need to be heated and bent much more. After this is adding the film and the foam clay to finish up

Now the visor is done heat forming and can fit now. Before putting the film on the plastic, I think re painting the helmet the correct shade of pink should be priority before completion.

Helmet and visor are done gluing! Visibility is poor because the glue on the edges leaked onto the middle. I guess the gaps will be filled with foam clay. Tomorrow the Bicep pieces are going to be trimmed to the correct length and width then painted.

I got the files for this build from the official 3d model index by Moe Sizzlac and Turbo Charizard. Just search up Halo Infinite MJOLNIR Mark VII and the models should show up in the search

Over the past few days I attached the shoulder parts to the Bicep parts. Seems like everything is done painting until time for repainting the pink on everything. Also I'm not making the waist piece for the Mark 7 because it seems impractical

I'm thinking about making a Odst helmet or a Halo 4 scout helmet for my next project probably. Whichever one uses less material I guess

Nearly done re painting the Mark_VII. I got some other colors of paint today for other projects too. The pink spray paint ran out while painting the arms and legs

Unfortunately the new pink spray paint I got was the wrong shade of pink. The release of Halo Infinite is nearing soon and I don't have much time in my schedule. For now The Mark_VII will be marked off as completed until I have the resources to finish up. Thank you all for supporting me and helping me on my first Halo project!
