"We will have a changing area and storage area behind the Flag Photo Op where you can store your bins that is just for us, so you will have the ability to change in and out of costume over the course of the day."

I was wondering if I could get some clarification on this section, is this also for 405th members not working booth shifts?

I'm sharing a hotel with him, fri-sun so honestly any of those 3 days works for me.

You write like you'd be there though Spidermonkey60, are the chances of dinner better than HOD?
No one has started making plans for a dinner and i wanted everyone to get a chance to meet and relax. I know theres a dave and busters in rosemont too.

I may be making an appearance on Sunday and can make a dinner sunday night but i dont want to plan it around what I can do, id rather you all plan it for Saturday night if thats ideal

The changing and costume storage area is intended for our members who are volunteering at the event.

Seeing as German cuisine may not be on everyone's palettes, there is also The Ashburn. Moderate pricing and American cuisine.

Saturday would be ideal for most con goers for Chicago so as Andrew said, we should make that the deal and we could always meet again as one last hurrah on Sunday for a job well done!

I'm down to eat anywhere as I like pretty much everything, and would be happy to do both Sat/Sun... I gotta eat anyways xD.
As for other people, if you're interested in meeting Saturday for dinner please post below. The only conflict I'm aware of is Cheyenne was planning to do a photo shoot around 5 on Saturday and Sunday, which I would like to attend. If I remember right, it's located right behind the con

Also keep in mind that the show itself doesn't close until 7, and the Costume Contest runs until, like 9, (I think?) on Saturday. So, if we want to allow for the most members to attend, it will be a late dinner.

That's a good point. I remember reading that ~90% of the contestants in Orlando were 405th.

I'm all for doing a late dinner after the costume contest Saturday if that helps more people be able to attend and gives time for Cheyenne's photoshoot for those who want to do that as well (which I plan to). I'm also pretty flexible in my leave time on Sunday, so if that's best for most people, I'll still be able to make it.

Lookin very much like I will not be able to attend HOD. Very disappointed and unhappy with my coworkers unwillingness to help me out in terms of covering my shifts for a once in a lifetime event. I will do my best to get to the next big event for us when Infinite comes out. I have already put that request in. Lol JK but darnit all I WILL be at the unveiling of Halo Infinite. Please take awesome pics and vids for me. I'll update with changes, but they are doubtful at this point.

A late dinner works for me, I can always snack until then. Looking forward to meeting y'all

Y’all gonna think I am insane but.... I CAN MAKE IT SATURDAY!! My coworker surprised me and said he’s got me for this event. He says he’s not a gaming nerd, but it showed when he changed his mind. With that said, I am volunteering for the 6 hours on Saturday and then I’ll be left with a few hours to have fun.

I'm curious what days people are planning to be fully suited up. All day every day? Partial each day? Subset of days?

I’ll be suited it near mid and later half of Saturday, probably a few hours before my closing shift at the photo booth.
