IMG_0157.jpg

heres a side view. i think its me, but this is my first build so tell me if the size it right her not.

It is a little hard to tell at this stage but so far it looks about right. The reach chest pieces are alot deeper than the MKVI. The jut out in the front pretty far. I think you are placing that front portion a little to close to your own chest and that is what makes it look too big right now. Keep going a little further and let us see again. The frustrating part about scaling is that it is often hard to realize you have the wrong scale until you have already built the part. But thats just the nature of the beast. Keep up the solid work, it is coming together well.

its like 2-5 pounds. and idk how to put the straps one, @HaloGoddess. what HD jetpack?? i didnt see one

The HD (high-def) jetpack IS the one you already made. I made a tester file of that jetpack. Meaning, MUCH less detail and some pieces were excluded for sizing purposes ONLY. I made it so that people who already had their chestplate built could properly size the jetpack with the tester I made and make sure that the jetpack fits over the chestplate without incurring any problems. THEN they can build the HD jetpack once they know the size they need.

ok thx man, i'll kepp this going, @halogoddess Thx for telling me. u guys r the best.

after you have your torso made and the jetpack, i would resin, rondo, sand, and paint both and after that i would get some straps, make a hole in the straps and then just drill the straps into the jetpack and the torso, and have other straps to tighten it is you need to. hope this helped you =D

btw the jetpack and the torso are both looking great, keep up the fantastic work =D

Awesome job on the Reach JP! When you attach the straps to your jetpack, make some slits at the back of your back armor where the straps can slip through and use parachute clips to attach the straps together. You should also have a waist strap go through your back armor to steady your JP. This way, your JP won't weight down your chest and back armor because the JP is directly attached to your body through your back armor. You will be putting on your JP together with your back armor. All you have to do is attach your chest. I am speaking from experience with my Boba Fett armor and JP which I have trooped in for nearly 3 years. Good luck with your build and looking forward to seeing it completed soon.

i wouldnt worry to much about your chest. it is true that the chest for reach is a little more deeper. i dont know why any way, maybe for other pieces of the spartan beneath like shields and what not. pepakura isnt much for making solids. im just guessing here but im pretty sure that the back of your neck is supossed to meet with the back of the neck hole in the chest. there is always problems with armours on pepakura. you different to the person who first deigned it. they might have been slightly bigger i9n physical build to you. this is actualy good news for my chest. i havent started. you look similar to my size so ill just wait and see what you do.
