Seriously, what's the point? you are just copying the 'Halo' scene.
Why not make something ORIGINAL?

-Fin(n)ish

EDIT: i think making a circle using cardboard would be the best, and most effective.

Finnish_Spartan said:
Yeah but the ending is still not original...
EDIT: Also, why would there be kids on halo? and halo cannot hava a core... i mean it's a ring, Core?!
and i think it wouldnt be nice to add snake thingies into the game because it would not fit into the halo universe

-Fin(n)ish

 man not to sound like a dick, but why do you have to be such a downer.
every great filmmaker had their start, and who says they have to be producing spielberg quality movies.
even spielberg as a kid made crapy films.

but any ways sssancheznes if i were you i wouldn't use pepakura to make your ring i would start with a 3d modeling program like 3ds or maya. if that doesn't work out for you go with carving it out of styrofoam.

hope i could help, and don't listen to these other guys puttin your film ideas down.

edit:
I'm not trying to put you down, Im just saying, it's good to let him and anyone for that fact have their own ideas even if they are from other places. It theripudic in a way to do something self fulfilling to get away from the mundain routine everyday. Everyone let's ease up on the criticisims, just a little biggrin.gif As my motto goes: " everyone is just trying to have a good day."

oops didn't read your post. lol

Don't make one, animate it.

This pic was set up in under 2 mins, and took about 2 seconds to render It has only basic lighting, no shadows or volumetric lights, no GI or anything fancy, just a blue ball a ring and a light, with a flare post effect on it, and a star field in the background. doing simple space stuff is really easy and is a great way to teach yourself 3d, it requires no modelling skill and only uses preset shapes. Imagine what it could look like if you spent a few weeks on it?
(ps, no I wont animate the scene for you sorry)
[attachment=3386:RingPic.jpg]

And if your scene needs space ships, you can get a whole lot of really good quality stuff from scifi3d.com to use in your film
like this

Oh noes, its teh dark vader! helpz me mr halo!

[attachment=3395:HaloWars.jpg]

Thanks,

Ok falling Jihad... I downloaded maya along time ago for some games that I made. i will use that also

I am going to try several of these Ideas and see which ones work better.

Thank you so much!!!

If you want to look into doing it in pep, here's a pdf of the ring:

LINK
Right-click on the "Download" icon on the left of the screen, and select Save Target As...

There's also a link to a finished picture of that ring file in the description.

+1 for 3d

easy, clean, quick and can look very very professional - plus, you can render it to your needs in post-production, so you can get on filming stuff and worry about the ring lat0rz.

This is a little OT here sssancheznes but please for the LOVE of God and anything that is sacred on this planet...FIX YOUR SIGNATURE!

Here is what you have now:

Card Board

pm me... I can't deside over red vs. blue or what other color option I should use for my armer...

H1 Helmet 50% (redoing)
R/L Thighs 90.99%
M6C 99%(adding velcro to attach to armer)
Crotch 90%
Everything else 0%

If I were nice, I would put you out of your misery.... But Im not, I am Master Chief, so I will slowly kill you and just when you think it couldn't get worse I scare the crap out of you and make you pee your self

Armor is written on the top of the site more than once. I don't know how old you are, but for the sake of our future and my possible children's future whenever or if ever I have any, please correct your spelling.

(Sorry I'm a stickler for spelling that is so blatantly incorrect when it's listed on the page that you're posting on.)

Halo is not really ripped off from other movies, i think it's completely unique.
But it does follow stuff from the BIBLE, ALOT!
Many movies and games etc. made are somehow related to the bible.
The Matrix is a perfect example, it follows the bible in huge amount of detail.

-Fin(n)ish

EDIT: I think it's stupid that you say that MC's armor colour is ripped off super heroes, I mean seriously... He is a soldier, Green is the standart colour for the army. geez
The Matrix??? Wouldn't surprise me. But then again perhaps it would, does it have to do with the Moses leading people to freedom, or... or....um. . . .I look like an ass, what would it be from the Matrix?

Sounds like a plan... what should we do for the pre-destruction show... Alien vs. Prediter?

STOP HAMMA TIME!
Ok brood I got a method for you and considering you're going to blow this sucker, I've made you a tutorial.

(pull out your pen and paper it's note time!)

METHOD ONE!:CHEAPO
1. First you're going to need to print off that PFD file from deviant art.
2. print it
3. Make that thing and then go buy this can at your local Home Depot / Lows for about $8
[attachment=3411:GretStuf.JPG]
4.Then go ahead and fill the pep halo ring in 1/4 sections. Then as this stuff is still 'wet' go ahead and finish off the creation of the halo ring.
5. (this is the tricky part) Depending on where you live, you may or may not be aloud to have access to fireworks.
( I can already hear some of you going, "awwww, what the fu-" but hear me out)
That's the easy way to do it, best of luck to you.

I would have to agree with animating it in CG, that way, you have more control options. If you make a fairly big model with high definition details, it can be used for things like zooming in and out and rotation a lot easier. Plus you don't have to deal with that annoying string detail later >.<
