Update 1.4 part 2 ‘Fleet Update’
The SDV Heavy Corvette Support group
At the moment all 4 SDV heavy corvette`s have been painted in there primer colour(Covie purple) and are ready for their livery`s to be painted on. However due to the fact that I printed most of the ship in the air the support has made the bottom of the ship rough which isn’t really supporting any details that were supposed to be there.
I have designed little stands for the corvettes to stand on and I am still working on a new gravlift which is to be added to the bottom of the ship and I am looking to add some more small details to them as I am still not satisfied with the current shape they are in atm.
CPV Heavy Destroyer
So in the last couple of weeks my printer has been printing 24/7 in order to print the entire CPV destroyer. All the parts have been printed and glued together except for the engine on the left of the ship which tends to have its own will when it comes to sticking to the ship. I have added filler to the first lines in the front of the ship and have my sanding work cut out for me yet again. I am currently studying the colour scheme of the ship in order to paint her exactly like she is portrayed in HW.
Orbital mac station
You might have forgotten or think that I have forgotten but the orbital mac station that someone asked for in the poll is currently being printed. The dilemma I was having was that I have the models from both the Cairo stations and the model from the mac in halo fleet battles (which is a lot more detailed). In the end I think that the original mac looks better(just out of nostalgia) and gives me a little bit more space to work with. Do not underestimate the size of this thing as it will still stand about a 25cm tall which is about as long as the cpv(whom is 31cm).
Fleet status
At the moment the Shadow of Intent (CAS 3.0) is awaiting her last touch-up paint and a update considering the completion of here will air soon. The SDV corvettes are still undergoing about as much work as the CPV at the moment (Mainly because I grew a little excited to build the cpv) and the orbital mac is in its printing stages.
For now this is the second and last part of the update 1.4 (1.5 will be the next one), Its not as much as usually but it is the first update specificaly for the fleet itself so I hope to post more content in the near future about them.
