As far as I'm concerned your scales are perfect. I know that there is a lot of extra space in things like the bicep (I'm 5'9" and have like 3 inches extra space), but the length is perfect, and if you think about it, master chief does have who knows what under his suit, adding to the size of his body. All you have to do is add some sort of stuffing in your undersuit and inside the bicep so it fits tightly. His suit is designed for him, a muscular man. Just add muscles and voila ;P
I concur completely. It's a flawless system to find the correct assembled height. The only problem is that the 'fit' could be askew. For instance, my FS HD chest (using the scale I got from your basic MkVI model) is a little too snug around the chest, (my torso isn't 'V' shaped like the Chief's) but otherwise, it's perfect. And the helmet (also FS HD, scaled the same as your model) looks like it may not fit around my head, but with a removable back/neck piece (like Legendary Armor is doing) it should fit fantastic.

Personally, I think a little modification to the pieces in post-Pep is worth the right fit.

I was just wondering if you guys working in max, I use Maya of course, ever thought about actually printing out the UVs directly from the program as if you were going to paint them?

Crap..
Crap! I just spent 5 hours rearranging the HD helmet pieces into a more organized fashion, (like a UV) and I realize I need a password to save it.
I am hating life right now...

I was informed that the HD Boot file didn't have a size tester included, so I fixed that.

Now, I will not be working on any models for the next week. Spring Break. I don't have 3ds Max at home, so no modeling. I will also not be quite as active on the forums next week.

You'll be able to find me on LIVE most of the time though :p. I might work on some of my own pep pieces. I have had no time to make anything other than one HD Handplate.

And don't worry, I get distra... uhhhh... Hey look! A forearm! *switches windows to work for one last hour*.

so... got an ETA?

i'm working on your normal models now in place of missing pieces in my HD suit and am planning on switching them out as they are released and there's no point in making the normal forearm if you're gonna release this right after i get done...

Come on robo! lets see some more sexy HD pieces to the arsenal!

i now realize i shouldnt have said sexy....damn it there i go again :p

I think you're all severely underestimating the effort that goes into these pieces, and you're taking the artists for granted.

I think we should be thankful for the pieces they have done. They are, after all, sparing us having to add all the detail to the basic models on our own. Does the name MLC ring a bell? He started with the basic models, and look at his work.

I'm sure when/if Robo gets around to doing another piece, he'll let us know.

I'm taking a break from modeling for now. I haven't done much to the forearm other than cleaning it up a tiny bit. I've decided to take some time to work on my armor. I haven't had any time to do that, so I'm going to start now.

Good to hear your taking a break and doing things for yourself instead of feeding the wolves (although id like to see the forearm also :p ) But its going to be interesting to see if you can create as good as you can model.

yeah, that IS the reason you are here, aint it? :D

its ok, i finished the forearms already, i dont need them now.

I've started on a HD CQB helmet. Right now I'm just smoothing it, but I should start with some more of the details soon. I'll post some pics soon.

You made my pants cream by just saying that!

When it's out, I'll try to get around to build it. ;)

Well, my building isn't advancing to terribly fast :p. I've assembled half of a bicep, and a handplate. I don't know why I'm not starting with the helmet, but whatever (I actually started the helmet, but I lost to many pieces, so I'm going to restart.)

I have mine all set up... I haven't printed them... I have had them open for like 2 weeks... leaving them up on the program... lol...

I'll probably be making the other HD armor pieces, but I just wanted to do a HD CQB for some reason. The other armor pieces were just making me mad.
