finished mine this morning, i had a friend come and pick me up for church when i had two more pieces to glue, that was the only reason i didn't have this last night... I was SOO close...
Also, i had to shorten the band because it was vertically tall enough, but was too round for my arm, had like 2 in of extra space... no muscles, lol, but other than that it turned out perfect... Thanks again...
w00t second pics posted...
there's a few dents because i decided to sleep with it, lol (not a good idea; but i actually fell asleep while trying to figure out which arm it was supposed to go on (Finally realized that the taller side goes in the back);lol writing this on the inside after you print it helps)
And im about half done with a bicep right now. Ill either be done tonight or about 3/4. ( Sorry I work slow and I get distract..... easily <<<HEY!! looky what I can do)
I was informed that the HD Boot file didn't have a size tester included, so I fixed that.
Now, I will not be working on any models for the next week. Spring Break. I don't have 3ds Max at home, so no modeling. I will also not be quite as active on the forums next week.
You'll be able to find me on LIVE most of the time though . I might work on some of my own pep pieces. I have had no time to make anything other than one HD Handplate.
And don't worry, I get distra... uhhhh... Hey look! A forearm! *switches windows to work for one last hour*.
I suggest that you measure the distance between your shoulder joint and your inner elbow and then subtract about 2 cm from this length. Use this number for the assembled height of your bicep piece. I did mine at 27 cm.
What I did was look at a pic of MC. I decided the top of the bicep is about 1 inch above his shoulder (imagine MC is your height). the I looked at the bottom and decided it stopped about an inch above the bend in your elbow. So I just mesured from an inch above the bend to an inch above my shoulder then I printed just the (dimond shape) shoulder piece on regular paper. It was just a touch too small so I rounded it to the nearest cm. Now it fits perfect.

thanks, it's too late for me, but others will get some help from that... actually, i may just re-do them, it was awfuly round for my arm... it took quick measurements and 27 seemed right, so i'll probably re-do it because it's pain when the shoulde rpad brushed against my chest... it won't even stay on my shoulder because they knock each other around...
i finished the forearm 4 hrs after the release or sumthing like that. AobForst has called me the fastest pepper on the website I had to live up to it. Don't worry. I have a life. Also, anyone know which AR ishould use?
If/when you build any piece, I would like you to post your hieght, the scale you used, and a picture of you wearing the piece. I'm trying to work out a new scaling method, and I need more info as to what scale everyone uses.

As far as I'm concerned your scales are perfect. I know that there is a lot of extra space in things like the bicep (I'm 5'9" and have like 3 inches extra space), but the length is perfect, and if you think about it, master chief does have who knows what under his suit, adding to the size of his body. All you have to do is add some sort of stuffing in your undersuit and inside the bicep so it fits tightly. His suit is designed for him, a muscular man. Just add muscles and voila ;P
