to be able to do this youll need to have some practice soldering already, first off get a two way radio you wont mind ruining...
i chose this one
first thing you do is take it apart, and map the chords you need.
and desolder the talk button, the mic, and the speaker, so you can extend the wires
you'll also want to trim down the housing for the chip, to make it easier to mount inside your helmet
measure out the chords in your helmet, give it a lil extra because you can always trim it if you need to, once you have all that figured out inside your helmet, secure it in there with hot glue
any padding or covering you want in the helmet goes on over the chords and stuff, but you need to remember to have good access for the batterys, channels and volume
on my helmet i mounted the push to talk button on the outside of the helmet for easy access when wearing armor and or gloves, i dont have any pictures of the finished version right now but im going to put it on my next helmet i do.
