Integrated helmet (fully equipped electronics) WIP

In my helmet i decided to have the cameras mounted literally in the face shield, cuz torn down security cameras are really small, it wont be cannon, but i figure its the easiest way to have night vision cameras, and itll look the most accurate to human eyes if they are right where your eyes would be, but my face shield is gonna be solid and not transparent at all, dunno how people would like that but shrug works for me

so how is that going to work with your helm? the back of the head will be like a zipper thing? or is your entire helmet going to be soft with a hard cover?

Newest additions in progress, after my power source issue is figured out:
a L 3 communications bare stripped down Thermal cam that, in night, or instrument conditions will be projected onto the veiwscreen, and or a eMagin's huds display, and i want to figure out how to do some simple commands vocally such as power on, and off
if anyone knows of any voice recognition hardware please let me know, as a test product i want to hook such a system into my rooms lighting as a prototype, thanks for your help guys
heres some links of that stuff:
L 3's thermal cam... the thermal eye !

heres the expensive military version of what im gonna do... bit wasteful actually if you really think bout it

the 2 veiwscreens i intend on using in my helmet (not concrete yet)

the Rfid is somthing im really looking forward to, because itll accomplish the name tags on the 'teammates' on the viewscreen/ huds display
the accelerometer is for letting you know your speed, as an aid to situation awareness and safety aid
welp thats all i got for now if i get anything else ill be sure to post it

So im to lazy to read alot of stuff :/ , but by the looks of ur pic. u want a hazop helmet w/ the CBRN attachment? , cause if u find a cbrn attachment, i would like it on a pep. file

I will edit the first post to state exactly what phase I am currently in on the build.
Found what I will use for the H.U.D. I just have to find one for sale now :/
Heres a pic

Did some more looking, appears I can cheaply make my own system and display, meaning i can mount the hardware ANYWHERE, and route a cable to any display size of my choosing anywhere I want.
I just need to find a way to make the compass appear as it does in game :/
one long OLED display???? hmmm... perhaps a laser display????
lets stick with the basics for now... in the lower right hand corner of my helm :D

More to come as I devise my way through this project

Just saw this and it looks like an ambitious build, I saw your plan for the hud and I couldn't help but think of the possibility of applying that to a gungir helmet. I say good luck to you sir!

Look at the posts right before yours, this thread is far dead

The thread could, but the research continues!
I've been rather busy these few years, moving across the world, working on new and exciting larger projects and various others.
Mind you im collaborating with some fellow electricians to build a voice modulation and communications systems for helmets. Basically.
Sound comes in , speakers play. You speak into the mouthpiece (think respirator style) muffled from the outside world, your voice wont be heard.
Add a mic and voice modulation. voice heard how you want it. (picture the Fett's)
The HUD is a bit of a problem, as new tech keeps coming out, Oakley now has a HUD. And others are making motorcycle visor huds, which will completely change the electrical design.
The respiration (air filtration) will also take some time, but can be done, im merely changing the shape of the filters.
Power and lighting, with the advent of graphene batteries, new possibilities arise with that.
All that being said.
This project is still ongoing. Funding and time is the major constraint.

Nice find on the gloves. Those may work for me with a little modding.

Edit - Wow, sorry for the necro-post.
