The first time I saw that armor such as this could actually be made was a couple of years back when I found that with the right materials and know-how the general public could make Stormtrooper armor. I had that info saved on my old computer, but when it crashed, I lost it all. So honestly I have no experience at this. So I'm just starting to research and learn. I'll be doing much more reading than posting for a while.
