Hey Everyone, I’m Malachi!
Excited to introduce myself here! I’m a retail worker by day, prop and costume maker by passion—crafting is my favorite hobby, and I’m always looking for new techniques and inspiration.

I was born in Hawaii, spent most of my life moving around the U.S., and eventually made my way to Dallas, Texas with my wife and our two crazy pups. I discovered the 405th at the Houston Discovery Outpost, completely unaware that a Halo build community even existed. Before that, I was literally using Halo Forge for reference photos (rookie move, I know).

What do you hope to learn here?: I hope to gain some tips and tricks for my first large scale armor project.
Have you built/made a costume before?: Yes, I have. My last costume was Nosferatu Alucard from Helsing Ultimate, I have also done Van Helsing, Dante, Vergil, and Guts.
Do you belong to any other costume communities? If so, which one(s)?: Were not realy a costume group, but i do partake in the anual Florida Polytech Halo-ween HVZ nerf war.

I have an affinity for pyrotechnics and making things go boom even if they aren't supposed to (I'm sorry Elmo, I shouldn't have given you 50x your base voltage). I'm just a genuine goofball that likes to make LARP approved prop weapons and replicas made to withstand long term combat. Me most well-known design in my small group is a modular polearm that breaks down into a staff, kali sticks, and sword when disassembled, all of which are ready for battle. I'm currently working on a Halo themed variant as I only have a Medieval and Warhammer 40K themed ones as of currently(Gravity hammer, energy sword combo sounds neat to me). I'm also working on a suit of MK VI Mjolnir in hopes that its ready for the next Halo-ween in october)

Working in emergency services I bring that trait to work, it seems to really inspire focus and strength in the people around me. I owe that part of me to Halo. Makes a world of a difference in those crucial moments.
