I'm really glad I found this place, tbqh. Lurking for the last week or so, I've been reading a lot of the build threads that people have posted and it's getting me excited. I've been wanting to do some sort of Red vs Blue [aka Halo-based] costuming for a long time, and this place has finally given me some of the tools to do it.

I have wanted to design a costumes from Halo for many many years but I have always been put off as I found it very daunting. I am finally going to do it though! My goal is to make a short film based around Halo.

I found this site after looking up some EVA foam tutorials. I was hoping to build some armor with my little brother over the summer. We're 17 years apart so I'm always looking for things that we can do together that he will enjoy. Since Halo is his favorite thing in the world, this site gave me a great starting place for our next long term project.

My wife is a professional costume designer and I am working on degrees in both Engineering and Theatre so I'm hoping that our past experience will help me along in my first few builds.

Thanks so much to the staff of the site for making such a friendly and informative place to hang my hobby hat for a while. I have already spent hours reading stickies and watching videos before I even registered, and I have rarely seen such a well put together fan site.
