Hello all, I'm Wil, I go by Geekly online. I'm 28 and originally from DE but for the past 7 years or so I have been hanging my hat in MO in the KC area. When I'm on the clock i am a police officer but when I'm off I'm an avid geek. I do everything from video games to table top RPGs and I have even larped a bit. I'm also a karate instructor at a college. I have been in martial arts since I was about 5.


I'm pretty new to everything cosplay but have always been interested in making some armor. My fiancé and I went to Planet Comicon, her first con, in KC and she loved seeing all the Stormtroopers and Spartans. Her and I spent a lot of time playing Halo together when we first met so it didn't surprise me when she told me she wants to have Spartan armor for next year and I figured I should too.


I wanted to join the group to meet people and use this as a resource to help me build my own armor. I'm pretty good with my hands and I am looking forward to diving into my projects.
