Random fact: I'm about to slowly start building my own Spartan armor and I am terrified XD I keep debating on making it in fiberglass or foam but I am very picky with foam considering I hate how it tends to crack. Was considering maybe covering my pieces with latex to fix that issue. I'll have to talk about it with you guys cauz I am so scared to make this dream costume of mine look horrible ^^'

Fooaaamm. Just use leak seal or plastidip and a heat gun can usually fix cracking. and makes your build 10000x easier using foam. Welcome and start a build thread and don't be afraid to ask questions. My suit wouldn't have turned out nearly as well without the help of the people here.

that being said, my helmet is fiberglass and I hated making it lol, though some people are more patient then I.

From my limited experience, what I understand is you heat treat the foam with a heat gun, cover with plastidip, then paint and that should stop anything from cracking.

Yes, I built one a couple years ago, its the HEVO design i made it quite big so i can do large pieces, the printing space is 300x300x300 mm, I am currently using it for my reach armor build, you can check that out here if you want to First Build - Halo Reach WIP
