Is there a guide somewhere that describes what each of these armor sets are, which game they come from, maybe has some screenshots, etc?

I'm not a big enough Halo fan to really understand what the difference between Master Chief's armor was in Halo 1/2/3/... or what a Mk. VI is.

I did some searching, but didn't come up with anything.

here you go sir

Perfect, thank you. With a reply that fast, I hope that question hasn't been answered 1000 times before. I really did search the forums for it, before asking.

edited to further explain, I am also going to add some "extra" info for you

Double Edit:

Wow he's right maybe this should be moved and stickied somewhere

Well, this is what helped me get up to speed on all things Halo: http://halo.wikia.com/wiki/Main_Page. It explains the background, developement, and differences of the different types of armor. MJOLNIR, what MJOLNIR is, etc. Its a huge resource that is pretty easy to follow. Hope it helps.
