The sad thing is it was just one person who went around stealing models and claiming credit. they are banned now but we lost a lot of good models because of it. I am glad Ace High took down his models. Maybe some people will understand better how much work these people put into making pepakura files, I can't model for crap so I very glad that some people can.

ya, i don't care for his wishes. after what he stated i really don't care, i say spread the love and who ever needs the files should get them. so if i had them i would give them to who ever has a Jorge WIP to help. he gave us the finger, i say give it right back. hell, it might teach him not to piss on a large group who respected him. notice the "ed" at the end

I dont remember stealing being classified as using. Stealing would be if someone took your files and said "I MADE THIS!" not just using them. Sure people dont give credit sometimes, but unless they are actually stealing, then there is no reason to go crazy. The mods, sure they give out, but if they didnt, this place would be havoc in a barrel.
Its not a crappy forum, and never has been, if you cant deal with it, then you obviously have issues with people trying help out EVERYONE and not just YOU.
All i can say is im pretty glad you have been banned, for any more of what i have quoted could just be the down bringing of the forum itself.
I personally don't understand how withholding the files from the public accomplishes anything, but he was a contributing member, and I don't see why, for a couple of rude remarks, we should go against his wishes, and post the files just to spite him.
He tried to help the community, posted some amazing files, and someone threw it in his face. He has the right to be pissed off. Don't pretend his comments before being banned can eclipse the work he's done.

K, im just going to say this flat out so hopefully we can end this debate and get on with life. Acehigh has been banned for his behaviour against some guy who stole his files, correct? As far as I can see, he isnt coming back, and if he is (as another username of course) he would probably just do the same thing over again. In my opinion, it was a selfish behaviour of him to stop releasing "all" of his files just because someone claimed to have made a handplate that was actually made by him (one of the most frequently released Reach files to begin with). So Akademee, you have the files (or most of them, as far as I am aware), and you are not claiming them to be your own, and you are certainly giving credit where credit is due without a selfish or stubborn attitude. This is not stealing, and it would not be wrong of you to release the files without his permission, because of the fact that (as far as I am aware) you no longer have contact with him, because he has been banned. So please, please for the people that need these files (I know I do, and im not trying to ask with a selfish, or needy attitude) reeeeeeaaaaaaleeeeessssseeeeee themmmm!!!!!!!!!!! =/

To the best of my knowledge, he wasn't forcefully banned, but instead asked to be banned. His stance was that he was "done with the community" due to the circumstances that took place. But I would agree, let's please be done with it. Let's allow a mod to decide what the best course of action would be for this thread, and for the publicity of the files for that matter.

first off this is a COMMUNITY of pep and prop makers... as adam savage once said to anthony whatever his face( the arrogant sob with the warmachine costume on the rpf) that prop making and whatnot are meant to be passed on even plans cause all of it is learned best off by other people and if in the prop business and trying to get started you would have no where to go if everyone withheld information like this acehigh or the people with his files are doing.... now what ace high did do was anthony like is withholding info cause he got pissed i say release his files and keep track of whomever claims another jorge file once these are released of course... cause claiming work is just as bad as recasting work .... and it gets people banned and the original artist angry as we have seen b ut i do say do not let the community suffer as we are just that ... a community and we must help each other when some needs it ... and right now the community needs a cup of sugar to finish their cake ( the jorge files to finish the armor) are you going to be taht crabby neighbour squatting on packages of sugar in their house saying they have no sugar? i know i would not be that person

I need the shoulders, and i think Rinhoc has a backpack being unfolded!

OK i have said this on numerous threads I think... AceHighs last wish was that his files not to be distributed any more. He said if you got 'em use 'em, if you dont, find a new 3d modeler (look at my sig lol, plus I only need to model the shoulders and I will have a Jorge fininshed) that was his final wish, and, quote me if you want... If we cant respect a members wishes, what makes us any better than those terrorists that cut babies heads off?

Ok, I haven't commented on anything that has happened here. Why you may ask? Well to be honest, I had no interest in making Jorge's helmet/armor to begin with, so I pretty much read this thread once at the first few posts and I wasn't very interested anymore. But now after Acehigh has been mentioned a few times I got curious and came over to see what was going on.
But to my surprise I find out that one of his files was stolen by some noob, that he got himself banned After he said some rotten lies about the 405th community. And on one hand now that I look at this whole situation, I see it like this: On one hand I would say that since we can't ask his permission to use his files, we could use it. But on the other hand I find this situation very similar to what happened to Rube. He made a very, very awesome ODST helmet and was kind enough to share his work. And it was beautiful work.
But then a member on here (Whose name I won't mention, even though the member has been banned, it is not my place to say.) recasted hsi helmet, maybe another person did as well, and so he left because he felt betrayed by certain members of this community and rightfully so.
What is the difference in these to events? A few differences like Rube leaving with his dignity intact while Acehigh, no offense, you left pretty darn Disgraceful way. But even though the words you said were very uncalled for, I still think that we shouldn't re-release his models. Just because something tells me it wouldn't be right. Do whatever you must (If a moderator approves of course.) But just think about it calmly before making your deciding.

rvb18 raises a good point, I think we all have an good idea of who has the files, so lets just say this...... All those who have the files and wouldnt mind sharing your e-mail, (and the files), could you please put your e-mail below, so that we (the people who want/need) can get the files confidentially and discretley without the possibility of getting in trouble with the mods? Ontop of that, with your e-mail, could you please make a list of the files that you do have? If anyone would be willing to do this (with or without the risk of getting in trouble) I think it would be appropriate to say that many people would appreciete it, and maybe it would help to end this pointless dispute once and for all!
