Yeah....we won't throw these away... They are acutally quite good. We're just VERY particular about everything we make. We'll probably paint these as customs or something.

Well, to be honest I think they look terrible but, you happen to be in luck, as I am an expert in replica helmet disposal, so you should probably just send them all to me. Because I like you guys, I wont even charge you that much.

So, we've done some test pulls in an attempt to get a perfect casting but as it turns out, it's a bit more difficult than anticipated. Sometimes the pull will be thicker in certain areas than others etc. This is due to rotation, speed and heat. Finding the perfect combination may take some time. Ugh.

Can i give you a large pile of cash and perhaps get a helmet in return? (the twist here is that it will be in Australian dollars!!! MWAHAHAHAHAH)

I think these guys are right - and I'd more than willingly follow suit. If you state a decent price, I'd more than happily take one of these 'bad' pulls from you - I need something to work on while I'm sorting the rest of my stuff out.

...why would you even consider a molded helmet when you have been very vocal regarding PEP???...just curious is all...

:p True, I thought moulded products were for circle jerks?

I've been vocal because I feel that Pepakura has been rather downtrodden by the moulding elite - not that I dislike moulding.

As for wanting a mould: for my cousin, who wants a Mk VI. I don't have the time nor the patience to make three MJOLNIR armor suits plus a COG armor set, a Varia suit and an Iron Man costume - I'm sure you can appreciate I'm a very busy man and if I can make my life easier I will.

...dang you are a busy bee :)

...however for the record even though I was on the receiving end of one of your vocal posts, I have seen a lot of nice pep work being done and or molding coming from pep work so IMHO it is not a bad thing at all...just the end result...you get what you put into it...same goes for molded armor I have witness some I'd like to forget..

...look forward in seeing some of your works in progress, good luck

Pep is just an alternative to CNC- it's just about the shape however you slice it.

However, professionally CNC'd foam- like what you guys used- is probably a lot more expensive than a pep and bondo'd sculpt. How much was it?

Why, NZ, you have deleted my completely respectful and legit question aswell as your statement that lead to the question, i wish i could say that its no big deal but, if i could quote you

"The mods job is to keep the place tidy, moving threads, merging them and doing general house keeping on the forum."

Not to delete posts because they didnt want to answer the question posed in it.

I'm sorry if ive gone over the line with this, but come on!

There was nothing wrong with your question, I'm not trying to censor anything. The question was unrelated to the thread. Lets just keep this on topic shall we guys?

Agreed and agreed, to both of the above, and here's where I'll call myself a hypocrite:

I support moulding/CNC-craft as much as Pepakura, if not more, given how much more simple it can, in the long run, be (if not initially cheaper, I'll admit), and I'll apologise for any toes I may have stepped on in my previous 'vocal' posts.

Merely - with the amount I have to do, versus my offline and out-of-forge commitments, I simply don't have the time to do what I need to do. Heck, I'm thinking of throwing it in and buying at least some components (such as legs and arm pieces, and a torso to modify with a Recon perm) to make my job a lot more easy. hence why, if some of these pulls become available, snag me a line and I'll see about a price. Also, to Legendary Armor: get in touch. I've gotten myself some ideas about 'permutationising' for your armor sets that you might find intriguing.

Quick edit: and so communism comes in. Shouldn't it be forum policy to PM the post creator to notify them of deleted/modified posts, at least as ettiquette?

In Soviet Russia the posts edit YOU!

Xavier was notified, and understands the reasoning behind the edits. There is no need to discuss this matter further.

Back on topic. Yayyy :D
