A little handback armor comparison for you guys.... There's definately a very similar curve there.

Yeah.... Mold it this week and cast a second master. Remold it and cast in hard paintable rubber. HyperfirmX rubber. BAM!!!

You guys are very welcome. We are happy to share as much with you as we can.

As far as the inner linning ring. We're not sure what we will be able to do yet. There may be a problem in the size of the padding. With the padding ring in, you may not be able to get your head in the helmet. We are concentrating on the visor and the ODST armor right now.

What about casting this in an ultrasoft material so that it compresses when you squeeze your head into the helmet.. something like 'nerf' foam rubber?

I guess thats just how I pictured the neckseal working..

Yeah...that was originally the intention but if the foam has to compress that much to let your head in, the foam will eventually just tear. I want to add the look of the padding but not have to deal with a ton more work for the look.

...with the neckring one of the issues we ran into is the unpredictable inner thickness of the helmet from being rotocasted...plus we added the bottom lip on the neck area of the helmet...we can cut out that lip to allow for more room but still the neckliner may not fit as well as we would like...

...perhaps an abbreviated thinner version which only extends from ear to ear where the neckplate attaches may be a good answer...we just need to sit down and work on it...

...it is a working progress and as Bishop said the ODST is our main focus at the moment...

You know... I really knew that I had "made it" in this industry when I was "invited" to work on Speed II. It's amazing, the feeling you get when you're down and out and the director personally calls and says, in his little Dutch accent....

"John...yah....I weesh for you to werk on my mooovee. It weell make the deeference in the whole werld. Please...say yah I weell do eet!"

That's when you know that you are somebody... Now look at me.....I have arrived.

I'm going to write a book and maybe call it "I Have Arrived!" or maybe "You Wish You Were on Speed Too?!"

This will be the picture of me on the back of my book.

Yes! I am just being a jacka$$. I'm playing....please do not think that I actually think that I am somebody....LOL...just trying to fun it up a little.
