oh buddy! your so close this is thrilling! I literally cant wait for the finished thing, great work!
amazing! I love the detail. keep up the heavy posting and discriptions. I wish every thread was like yours. And the way your strapping is awesome. The magnets are a brilliant idea!
Make us Canadians Proud!
Sadly I got deployed north and wont even be able to goto ANY release. nor get ahold of reach for at least 10 days after its release.
I love the led idea.
A note though. You are using a 9 volt batterie and what I presume are 3.5v led's. If you run 3 in series you dont need a resistor and less wiring
Also To difuse the led's you can try two things.
1. Scuff up the tip of the led. make it real rough with sand paper. Or
2. the lazy mans way is to take needle nose pliars and simply snap the very tip. this destroys the rounded end and diffuses the light quite nicely

Also if you want them dimmer. drop 4 in series and you get a less bright led but more of them.
I used to mod the original xbox to look all sorts of cool. And I do aviation electronics so most anything I can help out with
I have been toying with the idea of a voice changer, and saw someone talking about a backup lcd in the helmet
but enough chit chat. you have work to be done!
Looks awesome!
I realize those neck seals are easy and with your time crunch I know you need it. Hope you build a nice neck seal after though. Something about them just doesnt fit with builds
Can't wait to see the Helmet in place with the LED's and such.
Hey longshot, what is the plan with the computer? How is that gonna work? I'm interested now...
