Started working on a new helmet, instead of foam, attempting papercraft.
Rondo on the inside instead of the traditional fibreglass cloth. Just gotta work on the outside a little more before I can start coating it with sandable primer.
Well, I'm now off into what I like to call 'Version 2.0' of this build. Yesterday saw the end of my Chest Pate and the Belt, but yet welcomed the second version of my Helmet and my Boots.
I just don't have photos because I'm a lazy lazy lazy bastard.
Now the thing, is. I'm going to be working on a Noble Six between now and Halloween, so when I come back to this build, would I be better off continuing this thread or starting a new one? (Because chances are, I'll be working on both of them at the same time.)
Does the foam not hate when you kneel on it like that? I've been too afraid of testing the limits of both the foam and the paint to do dynamic poses like that. Reach armour is also a little mobility restricting.
Surprisingly, no. I can kneel in both that suit and my N7 Suit without too much of an issue. But I think it depends on how you wear it and how you go down on one knee. I did manage to rip the kneecaps off the armour but that's because I was trying to climb into a boat...
that boat to be exact.
Really, as I build it, I just wear them and test out the mobility. It's always nicer knowing you can sit down properly in a chair and not have to straddle it.
Just don't ask me to slide into a booth at a restaurant.
